2016 Monza GP3 Series Round
The 2016 Monza GP3 Series round was a GP3 Series motor race held on 3 and 4 September 2016 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy. It was the seventh round of the 2016 GP3 Series. The race weekend supported the 2016 Italian Grand Prix. Background Ralph Boschung would return to the category after sitting out the previous round in Belgium due to financial difficulties. As well as this, Óscar Tunjo would not return to the category for this round after making his return in Belgium. Classification Qualifying Charles Leclerc took his third pole of the year and ART Grand Prix's sixth straight of the year, followed by the Arden International duo of Jake Dennis and Jack Aitken. ;Notes :1. – Janosz was issued a three-place grid penalty after causing a collision with Arjun Maini. Autodromo Nazionale Monza
The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. With the exception of the 1980 running, the race has been hosted there since 1949. Built in the Royal Villa of Monza park in a woodland setting, the site has three tracks – the Grand Prix track, the Junior track, and a high speed oval track with steep bankings which was left unused for decades and had been decaying until it was restored in the 2010s. Ralph Boschung (born 23 September 1997) is a Swiss racing driver set to compete in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing. He is a race winner in the GP3 Series and has previously competed in Formula 2 from to , for Campos, MP Motorsport and Trident. Career Formula BMW Talent Cup In 2012, Boschung made his debut in open-wheel racing, competing in the Formula BMW Talent Cup. He ended the season fifth, five points behind champion Marvin Dienst, after winning the first race and scoring a fourth place in the second. Steijn Schothorst
Steijn Schothorst (born 14 October 1994) is a Dutch racing driver. His father Jeroen, his brother Pieter and his nephew Bas Schothorst are also active in Dutch motorsport. Karting and production car racing In 2009, Steijn Schothorst finished second in the Dutch Karting Championship. The year after, at 15 years of age, he was declared KNAF Talent First. Later in 2010, he competed in the Formido Swift Cup under the guidance of Tim and Tom Coronel. Matthew Parry (born 14 January 1994) is a British racing driver. Career Karting Born in Cardiff, Parry entered karting in 2006, when he finished second in the Hoddesdon Kart Club Championship Minimax. Tatiana Calderón Noguera (born 10 March 1993) is a Colombian racing driver who currently drives the No. 11 Dallara- Chevrolet car part-time for A. J. Foyt Enterprises in the 2022 IndyCar Series. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport.
