2016 LET Access Series
The 2016 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through October 2016 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Tournament results The table below shows the 2016 schedule. The numbers in brackets after the winners' names show the number of career wins they had on the LET Access Series up to and including that event. Order of Merit rankings The top five players on the LETAS Order of Merit earn LET membership for the Ladies European Tour. Players finishing in positions 6–20 get to skip the first stage of the qualifying event and automatically progress to the final stage of the Lalla Aicha Tour School. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Courses typically have either 18 or 9 ''holes'', regions of terrain that each contain a ''cup'', the hole that receives the ball. Each hole on a course contains a teeing ground to start from, and a putting green containing the cup. There are several standard forms of terrain between the tee and the green, such as the fairway, rough (tall grass), and various ''hazards'' such as water, rocks, or sand-filled ''bunkers''. Josephine Janson
Josephine Janson (born 16 September 1991) is a retired Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. She won the 2008 European Girls' Team and the 2011 European Ladies' Team championships, and the Borås Ladies Open on the 2016 LET Access Series. Career Janson played for the National Team. She won the 2008 European Girls' Team Championship at Murcar Links Golf Club in Scotland with Louise Larsson, Amanda Sträng and Johanna Tillström, and was runner-up behind Ireland at the 2009 event in Finland with Emma Nilsson, Emma Lundström and Johanna Tillström. In 2011 she won the European Ladies' Team Championship at Murhof Golf Club in Austria together with Nathalie Månsson, Amanda Sträng, Johanna Tillström, Madelene Sagström and Daniela Holmqvist. Ainil Bakar
Valdivia (; Mapuche: Ainil) is a city and commune in southern Chile, administered by the Municipality of Valdivia. The Ladies Finnish Open is a professional women's golf tournament held in Finland. It was played as part of the Swedish Golf Tour 1998–2011, the LET Access Series 2012–2019, and after a one year hiatus, added to the Ladies European Tour in 2021. Finland last hosted a Ladies European Tour event in the Ladies Finnish Masters (2005–2011). Aura Golf, founded in 1958 and one of the oldest golf courses in Finland, hosted a men's Gant Open on the 2015 Challenge Tour. Linda Wessberg
Linda Maria Wessberg (born 13 June 1980) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour, where she has three victories. She represented Europe at the 2007 Solheim Cup. Early life and amateur career Wessberg was born in Gothenburg and as a junior was attached to Delsjö Golf Club, to later join Hills Golf Club. In 2001 she won the Swedish Junior Matchplay Championship, and was part of the winning Swedish National team at the 2001 European Ladies' Team Championship in Galicia, Spain. She spent four years at Oklahoma State University and majored in General Business and minored in Economics. Playing on the Oklahoma State Cowgirls golf team she won the Road Runner Invitational, and finished sixth individually in the 2003 NCAA National Championship. Ladies Norwegian Open
The Ladies Norwegian Open is a professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour and featured on the LET Access Series schedule in 2015 and 2016. Highlights The 2015 edition saw a record-breaking 14-hole sudden-death playoff between Johanna Gustavsson of Sweden and Natalia Escuriola of Spain. Both players recorded an opening bogey on the first playoff hole, the 368 yard par-4 9th at Larvik Golf Club, which they played three times before alternating between the 1st and 9th holes until the 10th extra hole. They then moved back to the 9th hole until Gustavsson was able to break the deadlock on the 14th extra hole with a birdie three. In 2016, the final day featured a special format, as it was played alongside the men's Norwegian Open over the Skjeberg course. It was the first time an event on the LET Access Series has featured this format, which follows that of the Oates Victorian Open, played at the Beach Links in Victoria, Australia. Jenny Haglund (born 26 June 1993) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour. Career Haglund played college golf at Southern Methodist University before she graduated with a degree in Sports Management and Communications in 2016 and turned professional on June 2. She won the 2016 Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit and finished second in the 2016 LET Access Series Order of Merit rankings, earning promotion to the 2017 Ladies European Tour.
