2016 FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds
The 2016 FFA Cup preliminary rounds were the qualifying competition in Australia to decide 21 of the 32 teams which took part in the 2016 FFA Cup Round of 32, along with the 10 A-League clubs and reigning National Premier Leagues champion ( Blacktown City FC). The preliminary rounds operated within a consistent national structure whereby club entry into the competition was staggered in each state/territory, with the winning clubs from Round 7 of the preliminary rounds in each member federation gaining entry into the Round of 32. All Australian clubs were eligible to enter the qualifying process through their respective FFA member federation, however only one team per club was permitted entry in the competition. Tasmanian Association Football Cup Competitions
The Football Federation of Tasmania organises several annual Tasmanian association football (soccer) cups and tournaments alongside the regular league competitions that they also run. The first cup competition in Tasmania was the Falkinder Cup, which began in 1913. For nearly 60 years it was the state's premier football cup tournament but was eclipsed by the Statewide Cup and the pre-season Summer Cup. The Football South Australia Federation Cup, more commonly known as the Federation Cup and referred to as the Australia Cup South Australian preliminary rounds until the semi-finals, is an annual knockout cup competition in South Australia, run by the state's governing body, Football South Australia. The competition is the second longest-running cup competition in the country, only behind the Football West State Cup, first contested eight years earlier. 2016 Waratah Cup
The 2016 Waratah Cup was the 14th season of Football NSW's knockout competition. The Preliminary Rounds are now a part of the 2016 FFA Cup competition. The 5 winners from the FFA Cup preliminary Seventh Round qualify for the Waratah Cup, as well as the reigning National Premier Leagues champion (Blacktown City FC). The Cup was won by the defending champions Sydney United 58, their 6th title. Capital Football Federation Cup
The Federation Cup is a association football, soccer competition established in 1962 that is held between clubs who are affiliated with Capital Football in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding areas of New South Wales.
