2014 Under-21 Provincial Championship
The 2014 Under-21 Provincial Championship was a rugby union competition held between the Under-21 players from the fourteen provincial rugby unions in South Africa, plus the sub-union. It was contested from 11 July to 25 October 2014. Group A Competition There were seven participating teams in the 2014 Under-21 Provincial Championship Group A. These teams played each other twice over the course of the season, once at home and once away. Teams received four points for a win and two points for a draw. Bonus points were awarded to teams that scored 4 or more tries in a game, as well as to teams that lost a match by 7 points or less. Teams were ranked by points, then points difference (points scored less points conceded). The top 4 teams qualified for the title play-offs. In the semi-finals, the team that finished first had home advantage against the team that finished fourth, while the team that finished second had home advantage against the team that finished third. Tienie Burger
Martinus Abraham Burger (born 1 November 1993) is a South African rugby union player for the in the Pro14. His regular position is lock or flanker. Career Youth and Varsity Cup rugby At the primary school level, he was selected for the side that played at the Under-13 Craven Week competition in 2006. Burger then went to Grey College in Bloemfontein, which is in territory. He represented them at the Under-18 Academy Week in 2011 and also played for the side in the 2011 Under-19 Provincial Championship. Robert Du Preez (rugby Player Born 1993)
Robert James du Preez (born 30 July 1993, in Durban) is a South African professional rugby union player for English Premiership side . His regular position is fly-half. Career Early career Du Preez represented the at the Under-13 Craven Week tournament in 2006 and at the Under-18 Craven Week tournament in 2011 before joining the Sharks Academy. He played for the side in 2011 and 2012. Timothy Gregory Swiel (born 4 June 1993) is an English-born South African rugby union player. His regular position is fly-half. Career Youth Swiel attended Bishops in Cape Town and played in their first side in 2010 and 2011 alongside Dillyn Leyds, Oli Kebble and Johnny Kôtze. As part of an exchange programme, Swiel also played for English school side Dulwich College during the 2009–2010 season.
