2014 São Paulo Women's Sevens
The 2014 São Paulo Sevens is the inaugural São Paulo Sevens tournament, and the third of six tournaments in the 2013–14 IRB Women's Sevens World Series. Format The teams were drawn into three pools of four teams each. Each team played everyone in their pool one time. 2013–14 IRB Women's Sevens World Series
The 2013–14 IRB Women's Sevens World Series was the second edition of the IRB Women's Sevens World Series, organized by the IRB annual series of tournaments for women's national teams in rugby sevens. In August 2013, the IRB announced that the season would consist of six tournaments - in Dubai, the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw, Georgia, São Paulo, Guangzhou and Amsterdam - played from November 2013 to May 2014, with a sixth tournament to be announced later. However, the sixth tournament never materialized, and official literature referred to São Paulo as stop two of five. The number of teams in each of the events was set at twelve, nine of which participated in all competitions of the season, while others might be identified by elimination or rankings of the six regions reporting to the IRB . Arena Barueri
Arena Barueri is a multi-use stadium located in Barueri, São Paulo (state), São Paulo state, Brazil. It is used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosts the home matches of Oeste Futebol Clube, Oeste, and hosted the matches of Grêmio Recreativo Barueri until the 2010 in Brazilian football, 2010 season. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 31,452 people and was built in 2007. It is owned by the City of Barueri. During the reforming of Palestra Italia Stadium the Barueri Arena was being used for some home matches of Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, Palmeiras. History Arena Barueri's construction started in June 2006. The stadium was inaugurated on May 26, 2007 with an initial maximum capacity of 17,000 people.
