The Miami Marlins' 2014 season was the 22nd season for the Major League Baseball franchise, and the third as the "Miami" Marlins. They finished 77–85, 19 games back in third place in the division. They failed to make the playoffs for the 11th consecutive season. National League East
The National League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. Along with the American League Central, it is one of two divisions to have every member win at least one World Series title. After having internal, informal divisions for scheduling purposes during the pre-expansion era, the division was formally created when the National League (baseball), National League (NL) (along with the American League) added two expansion teams and divided into two divisions, East and West effective for the 1969 season. The National League's geographical alignment was rather peculiar as its partitioning was really more north and south instead of east and west. Glenn Geffner
Glenn Geffner is an American radio play-by-play announcer who recently announced for the Miami Marlins. Geffner joined the Marlins radio broadcast team in 2008. Until 2021, he partnered with Dave Van Horne on the Marlins Radio Network. In addition to his play-by-duties, Glenn hosts the Marlins pre- and post-game shows. Geffner joined the Marlins after spending five seasons with the Boston Red Sox. In sports, a winning percentage or Copeland score is the fraction of games or matches a team or individual has won. The statistic is commonly used in standings or rankings to compare teams or individuals. It is defined as wins divided by the total number of matches played (i.e. wins plus draws plus losses).
