The 2014 1. deild kvinnur was the 30th season of women's league football in the Faroe Islands. The league was won by KÍ, its 15th consecutive title and 16th overall. Rannvá Andreasen
Rannvá Biskopstø Andreasen (born 10 November 1980) is a Faroese football forward for KÍ Klaksvík of the Faroese 1. deild kvinnur. Since 2004, she has represented the Faroe Islands women's national football team at senior international level. She is the national team's all-time record goalscorer, inclusive of both male and female players. Club career In 1995, aged 14, Andreasen made her 1. deild kvinnur debut for KÍ Klaksvík in an 11–0 thrashing by rivals HB Tórshavn. Despite the inauspicious start Andreasen emerged as a promising player and finished her first season with 15 goals. In 1997 she was the league's top goalscorer for the first time with 28 goals as KÍ won the championship. In 2000, KÍ won a league and cup double, beating HB Tórshavn 2–0 in the cup final. Margunn Lindholm
Margunn Lindholm (born 16 April 1996) is a Faroese footballer who plays as a midfielder and has appeared for the Faroe Islands women's national team. Club career Lindholm started her career playing for the second division side B68/NSÍ. She was an important player for EB/Streymur/Skála, being the club's topscorer in the 2015, 2016 and 2018 seasons. In the 2018 Faroese Cup Final she scored a famous free-kick wondergoal against HB to win the club's second consecutive cup title, with her team down to 10 players. In 2020 she moved to NSÍ Runavík. International career Lindholm has been capped for the Faroese national team, being part of the team that won the 2016 Baltic Cup and appearing for the team during the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying cycles. Argja Bóltfelag is a Faroese football club based in Argir. The women's team of Argja Bóltfelag play in the 1. deild kvinnur in 2020, the second division in Faroese football. They play their home games at Vika Stadium, in Argir. History Argja Bóltfelag (or AB) was founded on 15 August 1973 by Danish resident Johnny Nyby and other football lovers on Argir. In the spring of 1974 AB got a board, composed of Johnny Nyby, Chairman; Fróði Olsen, Co-Chairman; Sonja á Argjaboða, accountant; and Kristian Arge, board writer. Other members of the board were Erling Olsen, Sæmundur Mortensen and Jens Hansen. In the same year the team started in the regular competition. They had poor training facilities at first – they trained in a school yard. Later they got a small ground to train on, but it was only 20 x 40 m². B36 Tórshavn (women)
B36 Tórshavn kvinnur is the women's team of B36 Tórshavn, a Faroese football club based in Tórshavn and founded in 1936. The club participate in The Faroese Women's League and plays in black and white. Their stadium, Gundadalur, has a capacity of 4,000. The women's section of B36 was created in 1985. History Women's football was officially established at The Faroes in 1985, after a trial year in 1984. B36 Tórshavn immediately established a women's section in the club, and gave it priority. This paid off, and the club won the unofficial title in 1984, and the first official woman's national champions title in 1985. The following years women's football at The Faroes was dominated by teams from the capital. B36 Tórshavn took four national titles during this period, and the local rivals HB Tórshavn took seven. Havnar Bóltfelag (women)
Havnar Bóltfelag (HB, lit. 'Harbour football club') is a Faroese football club, and is one of the oldest in the Faroe Islands. The club was founded in 1904, and is based in the city of Tórshavn. Home matches are played in Gundadalur and they compete in the Faroe Islands Premier League. History HB Tórshavn was founded in October 1904. The club's first board was elected in a meeting, on 14 November 1904. The board consisted of three people: Mads Andrias Winther, Joan Pauli Joensen and Jakup Mouritsen. The future mayor of Tórshavn (1909–12), Mads Andrias Winther, was HB's first chairman. HB's first match against TB Tvøroyri took place on 23 May 1909, in Tvøroyri. The match ended in a 2–2 draw. Heidi Sevdal
Heidi Sevdal (born 6 March 1989) is a Faroese football forward who currently plays for NSÍ, after representing various other teams in the Faroese 1. deild kvinnur. Since 2006, she has represented the Faroe Islands women's national football team at senior international level. Club career Sevdal spent time at the Danish Elitedivisionen club IK Skovbakken in 2006. In November 2013 Sevdal was named the Faroese women's footballer of the Year after scoring 30 goals for HB Tórshavn. In 2015, she was named player of the year once again. In 2017, along with Adeshina Lawal, she was rewarded for finishing as top scorer and chosen striker of the year in Faroese football. EB/Streymur/Skála
EB/Streymur/Skála is a Faroese women's football team based in Skála and Streymnes. The team is the result of a cooperation between the women's football departments of EB/Streymur and Skála ÍF. They won the 1. deild kvinnur for the first time in 2017, ending KÍ's run of 17 consecutive titles. History Before the 2013 season, Skála and EB/Streymur, which finished 5th and 6th, respectively, in the previous season (contested by 10 clubs), unified their women's teams, aiming to compete for the title against the dominant KÍ. Skála was a considerable force in Faroese women's football in the early 1990s, having won the 1. deild kvinnur twice and the Faroese Women's Cup once. EB/Streymur was less successful, having reached only a Cup final in 2004, in which they ended up thrashed by KÍ. The 2015–16 UEFA Women's Champions League was the 15th edition of the European women's club football championship organised by UEFA, and the 7th edition since being rebranded as the UEFA Women's Champions League.
