Union Sportive de la Médina d'Alger ( ar, الإتحاد الرياضي لمدينة الجزائر); known as USM Alger or simply USMA for short, is a football club based in the inner suburbs of Algiers. Mouloudia Club d'Alger ( ar, نادي مولودية الجزائر), referred to as MC Alger or MCA for short, is an Algerian football club based in Algiers. The club was founded in 1921 and its colours are red, green and white. Their home stadium, the Stade 5 Juillet 1962, has a capacity of 65,000 spectators. 2014–15 USM Alger Season
In the 2014–15 season, USM Alger competed in the Ligue 1 for the 37th season, as well as the Algerian Cup. It was their 20th consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football. The club also competed in the CAF Champions League, the Algerian Super Cup and the Algerian Cup. The club was managed by Hubert Velud, until his sacking on 1 February 2015. He was replaced by Otto Pfister on 19 February. On May 18, Pfister was sacked as coach of USM Alger. Charles Carolus Andriamatsinoro (born 6 July 1989), simply known as Andria, is a Malagasy professional footballer who plays as a forward for Saudi club Najran and the Madagascar national team. Ahmed Gasmi (born November 22, 1984) is an Algerian footballer who plays for RC Kouba in the Algerian Ligue 2. Club career On June 27, 2010, Gasmi signed a one-year contract with JSM Béjaïa, joining them on a free transfer from USM Annaba. Algerian Super Cup
The Algerian Super Cup ( ar, كأس الجزائر الممتازة), is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1973 and then again in 1981, 1992 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013.
