PFC CSKA Sofia
CSKA Sofia ( bg, ЦСКА София) is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in Sofia and currently competing in the country's premier football competition, the First League. ''CSKA'' is an abbreviation for ''Central Sports Club of the Army'' ( bg, Централен Спортен Клуб на Армията). Officially established on 5 May 1948, CSKA's roots date back to an army officers' club founded in 1923. The club has won a record 31 Bulgarian titles and 21 Bulgarian Cups. Internationally, CSKA are the only Bulgarian club to have reached the semi-finals of the European Cup, which they have done twice, and they have also reached the semi-final of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup once. Boris Galchev
Boris Petrov Galchev ( bg, Борис Галчев; born 31 October 1983) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Early career Born in Razlog, but raised in Dobrinishte, Galchev started his career in the youth system of Pirin Blagoevgrad. Then he was released by Pirin after failing to progress into their first team and joined amateur side Pirin Razlog. In this period, along with his football career, he also worked as a lumberman. Pirin Blagoevgrad In 2007, Galchev returned to Pirin Blagoevgrad and helped the team gain promotion to the B Group. In December 2008, Pirin merged with the other club of Blagoevgrad, which in season 2008–09 was a part of A Group. Galchev was selected to join unions club. Ventsislav Vasilev ( bg, Венцислав Василев; born 8 July 1988) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Minyor Pernik. Omar Kossoko (born 10 March 1988) is a French former professional footballer who played as a winger. Career Born in Mantes-la-Jolie, Yvelines, Kossoko began his career with Mantes. Apostol Popov ( bg, Апостол Попов; born 22 December 1982) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer and currently assistant manager of CSKA 1948 III. Career Early career Popov began his career with Spartak Plovdiv and made his first team debut in 2001. Then he played two and a half years in the second division with Belite Orli and Haskovo, before joined Botev Plovdiv in December 2007. Petar Ivo Vitanov ( bg, Петър Иво Витанов; born 10 March 1995) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Challenger Pro League club Beveren.
