2013–14 Creighton Bluejays Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team represented Creighton University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bluejays, led by fourth-year head coach Greg McDermott, played their home games at the CenturyLink Center Omaha, and were in their first season as members of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 27–8, 14–4 in Big East play to finish in second place. They advanced to the championship game of the Big East tournament where they lost to Providence. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Louisiana–Lafayette in the first round before losing in the second round to Baylor. Greg McDermott
Greg McDermott (born November 25, 1964) is an American basketball coach who has been the head coach of the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team since 2010. Previously, McDermott served as the head coach at Wayne State College, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, and Iowa State. He is the father of NBA player Doug McDermott. Early life McDermott grew up in Cascade, Iowa, and played basketball for Cascade High School. A 6'8" center, he then played college basketball for the Northern Iowa Panthers from 1984 to 1988. In 1988, he earned a B.A. degree from Northern Iowa. He is the father of current NBA player Doug McDermott. Coaching career Early coaching career McDermott began his coaching career as an assistant coach at North Dakota between 1989 and 1994, and during his tenure helped lead the Fighting Sioux to five consecutive NCAA Division II tournaments. Ames High School
Ames High School is the sole public high school in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is in the Ames Community School District. Academics This school is the only public high school in the city of Ames. In August 2019, Ames High School was named the top high school in Iowa by U.S. News & World Report. Athletics The Ames Little Cyclones are members of the Iowa Alliance Conference, formerly in the Central Iowa Metro League. Algona, Iowa
Algona is the county seat of Kossuth County, Iowa, United States. The population was 5,487 at the 2020 census. Ambrose A. Call State Park is located two miles southwest of the city. History Algona was founded in 1854 and was named after the Algonquian word for "Algonquin waters". Shiloh Christian School
Shiloh Christian School is a private Christian school in Springdale, Arkansas, United States. History Shiloh Christian School was founded in 1976 as a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, by Dennis Cottrell and Tom Ellis, under the leadership of Pastor Cliff Palmer.
