Thomas Tuchel (; born 29 August 1973) is a German professional Association football, football manager and former player who last managed Premier League club Chelsea F.C., Chelsea. Born in Krumbach, Bavaria, Krumbach, Tuchel retired at age 25 after a chronic knee cartilage injury; in 2000, he began his coaching career as a youth coach at VfB Stuttgart, and in 2009, after a one-year period at FC Augsburg II, he was hired by 1. SC Fortuna Köln is a German association football club based in the city of Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia.
