2013 Silverstone GP3 Series Round
The 2013 Silverstone GP3 Series round was a GP3 Series motor race held on 29 and 30 June 2013 at Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, United Kingdom. It was the third round of the 2013 GP3 Season. The race supported the 2013 British Grand Prix. Classification Summary Kevin Korjus set the fastest time in qualifying. He was overtaken at the start by Jack Harvey, who then led every lap to win the race. A significant portion of the race took part under safety car conditions following a collision between Patrick Kujala and David Fumanelli, where Kujala was launched over Fumanelli's car ad landed upside down on a tyre barrier. Third place went to Facu Regalia after Conor Daly, who had moved from ninth to second on the opening lap, was given a drive through for a false start. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series. The 2013 British Grand Prix (formally the 2013 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held at the Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, England, United Kingdom, on 30 June 2013 before 120,000 spectators. It was the eighth round of the 2013 Formula One World Championship and the 64th British Grand Prix to be held as part of the series. Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won the 52-lap race starting from second position. Mark Webber of the Red Bull team finished second and Fernando Alonso took third in a Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton, Rosberg's teammate, won the pole position by setting the fastest lap in qualifying. Dino Zamparelli (born 5 October 1992) is a British racing driver, born to English parents and with Italian ancestry. His father Mike was a F1 Powerboat World Championship racer. Career Early career Zamparelli began karting at the age of seven, and spent seven years in the various classes around the United Kingdom and Europe. In 2007 he debuted in Ginetta Junior Championship with Muzz Racing, finishing in thirteenth position. Robert Vișoiu (born 10 February 1996 in Pitești) is a former racing driver from Romania. Career Karting At the age of six, Vișoiu first sat behind the wheel of a kart, the beginning of his karting career. He raced primarily in his native Romania up to 2009, becoming a two-time champion in the Mini Class and champion in the KF3 category. In 2009 Vișoiu switched to International KF3 competitions. Status Grand Prix is a former motorsport team registered in Canada. Team history Based in Silverstone the team was formed in 2005 to run the A1 Team Ireland franchise in the new A1 Grand Prix series. The team's founders were former Jordan Grand Prix Executive Mark Gallagher and Dublin businessman Mark Kershaw. Aaro Vainio (born 2 October 1993 in Espoo) is a Finnish racing driver, currently contesting in ADAC GT Masters. Career Karting Vainio has enjoyed a successful karting career. He won the Finnish championship in 2007, and in 2008 he won the European KF3 Championship and the Junior Monaco Kart Cup. In 2009 he was runner-up in the CIK-FIA Karting World Championship and won the European KF1 Champion.
