2012–13 Toronto Maple Leafs Season
The 2012–13 Toronto Maple Leafs season was the 96th season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on November 22, 1917. The regular season was reduced from its usual 82 games to 48 due to a lockout. Due to the abbreviated 48-game schedule, the Maple Leafs played only teams from their own Eastern Conference. Within their division, they played the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres four times each, and the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators five times each. Its counterpart is the Western Conference (NHL), Western Conference. Ben Scrivens (born September 11, 1986) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender and current team manager of the University of Denver men's team. He has also played in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Montreal Canadiens. Scrivens played four years with the Cornell Big Red of the ECAC. 2004–05 NHL Lockout
The 2004–05 NHL lockout was a labor lockout that resulted in the cancellation of the National Hockey League (NHL) season, which would have been its 88th season of play. The main dispute was the league's desire to implement a salary cap to limit expenditure on player salaries, which was opposed by the NHL Players Association (NHLPA), the players' labor union, who proposed an alternative system of revenue sharing.
