The 2012–13 Football League, 2012–13 season was Rochdale A.F.C.'s 106th in existence and their first back in EFL League Two, League Two, following a two-season stint in Football League One, League One which ended with a last-place finish in 2011–12 Football League One, 2011–12. Rochdale A.F.C., Rochdale began their 2012–13 Football League Two season with a 0–0 draw against Northampton Town F.C., Northampton. They entered into three cup competitions in the first round due to the league table they are in. John Coleman (footballer born 1962), John Coleman's and Jimmy Bell's contracts were terminated by Rochdale on 21 January 2013 following a poor run in form. Reece Anthony Gray (born 1 September 1992) is an English footballer who plays as a forward. He played for Rochdale in the Football League. In a loan spell with Hyde in the 2011–12 season he won a Conference North winners medal. George John Donnelly (born 28 May 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker. He has previously played for Skelmersdale United, Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town, Stockport County, Fleetwood Town, Macclesfield Town and Tranmere Rovers. Jason Brian Kennedy (born 11 September 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. In his 12-year-long playing career, Kennedy spent most of his career with Rochdale with whom he signed in 2009, going on to appear in 177 official games. Brian Barry-Murphy
Brian Barry-Murphy (born 27 July 1978) is an Irish professional football manager and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. He is currently the head coach of club Cardiff City. He began his career at his hometown club Cork City. In 1999, he moved to English club Preston North End, but began to establish himself in league football with loan spells at Southend United and Hartlepool United. Shane Lewis Cansdell-Sherriff (born 10 November 1982) is a former Australian professional football centre-back. He represented Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece. Peter Joseph Cavanagh (born 14 October 1981) is an English football coach and former player. Before joining Fleetwood in 2010 he played for Accrington Stanley, where he was made the youngest ever captain of Accrington after joining the club in 2001. Joseph Gerard Rafferty (born 6 October 1993) is a professional footballer who plays for club Rotherham United. Rafferty can operate as a fullback, wingback and as a midfielder. Joshua Mark Lillis (born 24 June 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He is currently goalkeeping coach at Rochdale.
