2012–13 GCC Champions League
The 28th GCC Champions League () was the 28th edition of the GCC Club Cup, GCC Champions League for clubs of the Gulf Cooperation Council nations, held in 2013. This edition featured clubs from Saudi Arabia for the first time since 2009–10 Gulf Club Champions Cup, 2009. Groups Four groups of three teams. Top two from each group qualify for the one legged quarter finals with group winners hosting the matches. 1 Al Hala replaced Al Wasl FC, Al-Wasl after the group stage draw was completed. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in most countries and territories in Asia. The AFC was formed in 1954. It has 47 members. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC that managed women's association football in Asia. Al-Faisaly KSA FC () is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Harmah., the club currently competes in the Saudi First Division League, the second tier of Saudi football.. Saleh Abdulhameed Saleh Mohamed Mahmeedi (; born 4 August 1982) is a Bahraini professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Bahraini club Busaiteen Club. He made 31 appearances for the Bahrain national team. Club career In the 2005–06 season, Abdelhameed played for Al-Najma. In September 2007, Abdulhameed moved to Kuwaiti club Al-Nasr on loan from Al-Najma. In January 2009, Al-Najma sent him on loan to Al-Raed in Saudi Arabia; Abdulhameed became the first player from Bahrain to play in the Saudi Professional League. Bahrain National Stadium
Bahrain National Stadium (; Arabic transliteration, transliterated: Stād al-Bahrayn al-Watanī) is the national stadium of Bahrain, located in Riffa. It can accommodate 24,000 spectators and is used mostly for Association football, football matches. It was built in 1982 and renovated in December 2012 for the 21st Arabian Gulf Cup. Pope Francis held a holy papal mass on November 5, 2022, in the Bahrain National Stadium, which was temporarily refitted to accommodate the event. The mass was attended by members of the public and was conducted in the presence of Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King Hamad bin Isa Alkhalifa. A temporary center-stage was set up in the stadium to host the Pope and the King during the mass. This marked the first time that a pope had conducted a mass in Bahrain. Al Majma'ah () is a city and a governorate in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. It is located at around , and it is the capital of the Sudair region. The city has an area of 30,000 square kilometres.
