2012–13 Big Bash League Season
The 2012–13 Big Bash League season or BBL, 02 was the second season of the Big Bash League, the top-class Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The tournament began on 7 December 2012, with the final held on 19 January 2013. Defending champions, Sydney Sixers were knocked out in the group stage. Melbourne Renegades finished first in the group stage with seven wins. Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat were the other teams to reach the semi-finals. In the first semi-final, Brisbane defeated Melbourne Renegades by 15 runs; in the other semi-final, Perth defeated Melbourne Stars by eight wickets in a rain curtailed match to make the final for the second year row. In the final, Brisbane beat Perth by 34 runs to win their first title. Perth Scorchers finished runners-up for the second successive year. Ryan Carters
Ryan Graham Leslie Carters (born 25 July 1990) is an Australian former cricketer who represented New South Wales in the Australian domestic cricket competition and the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. In May 2017, he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Originally from Canberra, Carters played for the ACT Comets in the Cricket Australia Cup as well as Wests/ University of Canberra Cricket Club in the local Canberra grade competition. Carters moved to Melbourne in the 2009–10 season, making his first class debut in 2010 for Victoria. Chris Tremain (cricketer)
Christopher Peter Tremain (born 10 August 1991) is an Australian cricketer who plays for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield. Domestic career Tremain made his state-level debut for New South Wales in the 2011–12 season. In July 2012, he was given a state contract with New South Wales for the first time. By the end of the 2013–14 season he had played six first-class matches for the state. In April 2014 he moved interstate and signed a new contract with Victoria. Bradley James Haddin (born 23 October 1977), is an Australian former cricketer, vice-captain and coach who represented Australia national cricket team, Australia in all three forms of international cricket. The Sydney Thunder is an Australian franchise professional cricket team, competing in Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League. Paul Reiffel
Paul Ronald Reiffel (born 19 April 1966) is an Australian former cricketer who played in 35 Tests and 92 One Day Internationals (ODIs) from 1992 to 1999. He was part of Australia's victorious 1999 World Cup team. After retirement he became a first-class cricket umpire. He is currently a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Playing career Reiffel's career best bowling figures of 6/71 came at Edgbaston in 1993. Throughout his career he took 104 wickets at 26.96 in 35 Tests, taking 5 or more wickets in an innings five times. Simon Douglas Fry (born 29 July 1966) is an Australian former cricket umpire. In April 2020, Fry announced his retirement from elite umpiring. Umpiring career Fry served as an international umpire in ODIs for the first time in a match between Australia and England at Adelaide on 26 January 2011. Luke James Wright (born 7 March 1985) is an English former cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium bowler. Wright joined Sussex in 2004, having started his career at Leicestershire.
