2012 Stabæk Fotball Season
The 2012 season was Stabæk's 7th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their 17th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. It was Petter Belsvik's first season as the club's manager after Jörgen Lennartsson joined IF Elfsborg at the end of the previous season. Stabæk also competed in the UEFA Europa League after qualifying through the Fair Play rankings. They entered, and were knocked out, in the first qualifying round against JJK of Finland. Stabæk Fotball is a Norway, Norwegian professional association football, football club based in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo. It is part of the multi-sport organization Stabæk IF. Founded in 1912, the club's name is an archaic spelling of the suburban area Stabekk, from which it once originated. Idrottsföreningen Elfsborg, more commonly known as IF Elfsborg or simply Elfsborg (), is a professional association football, football club based in Borås, Sweden, and is affiliated to the Västergötlands Fotbollförbund. Sean Patrick Cunningham (born January 24, 1993) is an American soccer player who is a free agent after being released from Molde in July 2013. Career Cunningham was born in Troy, Michigan, and played soccer with Derby County Wolves Soccer Club and originally committed to play at the University of Michigan before he signed for Molde ahead of the 2011 season. Elfar Freyr Helgason (born 27 July 1989) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays for Valur in the Icelandic Premier League as a central defender. Having spent most of his career playing for Breiðablik, he has also had stints abroad for AEK Athens, Stabæk, Randers FC and AC Horsens.
