2012 Speedway Grand Prix Of Scandinavia
The 2012 FIM Scandinavian Speedway Grand Prix will be the tenth race of the 2012 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on September 8 at the G&B Stadium in Målilla, Sweden. The Grand Prix was won by Tomasz Gollob who beat Chris Holder, Antonio Lindbäck and Nicki Pedersen in the final. Riders The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Thomas H. Jonasson as Wild Card, and Kim Nilsson and Linus Sundström both as Track Reserves. Injured Kenneth Bjerre was replaced by first Qualified Substitutes, Martin Vaculík. Målilla () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality in Hultsfred Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden with 1,524 inhabitants in 2010. It is commonly known as the temperature capital of Sweden due to both high and low temperature records being set there. A Swedish record high temperature of +38 Celsius, °C (100.4 Fahrenheit, °F) was set on June 29, 1947. This record is shared with Ultuna in Uppland. Michael Jepsen Jensen (born 18 February 1992) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career Jepsen Jensen was part of the 2010 Under-21 World Cup winning Denmark team. He peaked in 2012, winning the 2012 Speedway World Cup with the Denmark national speedway team and winning the 2012 Speedway Grand Prix of Nordic becoming the first wildcard to have won a GP meeting since Hans Andersen.
