2012 Norwegian Women's Cup
The 2012 Norwegian Women's Cup was the 35th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament for women. The tournament started on 8 May 2012, and ended on 24 November 2012 with the final. The defending champions are Stabæk which beat Røa in the last year's final on penalties. After playing the last three finals in Telenor Arena, the Football Association of Norway announced on 6 June 2012 that this year's final will be played on Ã…rÃ¥sen Stadion. Norwegian Football Association
The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The NFF joined FIFA in 1908, and UEFA in 1954. The NFF was part of an unsuccessful joint bid with the SvFF, the DBU and the SPL to host the UEFA Euro 2008 championship. Idrettsklubben Grand Bodø is a Norwegian association football club from Bodø, Nordland. It was founded on 12 April 1917. Football Former Liverpool and England international full-back Chris Lawler was player-coach for the club in 1981. Sportsklubben Træff is a Norwegian sports club from Molde, Møre og Romsdal. It currently has sections for association football and team handball. The men's football team currently plays in the Norwegian Second Division, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system, after being promoted from the 2021 Norwegian Third Division. History Træff had a longer stint in the 2. divisjon before being relegated after the 2002 season. Also, in 2000 they had survived play-offs with 3. divisjon teams to avoid relegation. Once situated in the 3. divisjon, Træff became a top team. In 2003 they won their 3. divisjon group, but in the two-leg playoff they lost to Volda TI on penalties after 3–3 on aggregate. Sportsklubben Haugar is an association football club from Haugesund, Norway, established in 1939. Its top women's team plays in the Second Division and the top men's team plays in the Fifth Division. The men's team has played two Norwegian Football Cup Finals, losing 0–7 against Fredrikstad in 1961 and 2–1 against Viking in 1979.
