2012 National Conference League
The 2012 National Conference League was the 27th season of the National Conference League, the top league for British amateur rugby league clubs, and was the first season that the league was played in the summer. The league was expanded to four tiers for the first time, with the new Division Three largely consisting of teams from the former Rugby League Conference National Division. National Conference League
The National Conference League (NCL) comprises the five levels of the British rugby league system at the top end of the amateur pyramid below the professional RFL League 1, League One. It comes under the jurisdiction of the Rugby Football League (RFL). The NCL has promotion and relegation between the National Conference League Premier Division, Premier Division and National Conference League Division Three, Division Three; there is no promotion or relegation between the Conference League South, regional leagues or promotion to RFL League 1, League One without an application to the RFL. System The NCL consists of five divisions. Teams can be promoted and relegated through the top four divisions (Premier, One, Two and Three). There is no promotion and relegation between Division Three and the Southern Conference League or the Rugby League Conference#Successor leagues, regional leagues. Hunslet Warriors
Hunslet () is an inner-city area in south Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is southeast of the Leeds city centre, city centre and has an industrial past. It is situated in the Hunslet and Riverside (ward), Hunslet and Riverside ward of Leeds City Council and Leeds South (UK Parliament constituency), Leeds South parliamentary constituency. The population of the previous City and Hunslet council ward at the 2011 census was 33,705. Many engineering companies were based in Hunslet, including John Fowler & Co. manufacturers of traction engines and steam rollers, the Hunslet Engine Company builders of locomotives (including those used during the construction of the Channel Tunnel), Kitson & Co., Manning Wardle and Hudswell Clarke. Stanley Rangers
Stanley Rangers (founded 1919) is an amateur rugby league club situated in the village of Stanley, West Yorkshire, Stanley near Wakefield. They are in Division One of the National Conference League. Players range from 8-years old and receive training in all aspects of the sport. Many younger players have attended Paul Sculthorpe's training camps. Stanningley A
Stanningley is a district of Pudsey, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately west of Leeds city centre on the A647 road, the original main road from Leeds to Bradford. The appropriate Leeds Metropolitan Ward is Bramley, Leeds, Bramley and Stanningley. The parish is part of the Anglican Diocese of Leeds. History The parish church of St Thomas was built in 1841 in Neo-Norman architecture, Neo-Norman style and is now Listed building, Grade II listed. It was designed by H. Rogerson. The foundation stone was laid on 5 November 1839, by John Farrar of Pudsey. The organ chamber and vestry were added in 1870. There are examples of stained glass dating to the 1860s and painted panels from the late 1880s. There is a notable marble memorial to John Butler of Windhill and Wrose, West Royd, d.1884 which was erected by the men of the Stanningley Ironworks where he was the manager.
