2012 Monaco GP2 And GP3 Series Rounds
The 2012 Monaco GP2 Series round was the fifth round of the 2012 GP2 Series season. It was held on May 26–28, 2012 at Circuit de Monaco, Monte Carlo, Monaco. The race was used to support the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying The qualifying session was divided into two groups in order to avoid accidents due to the overcrowding on the track. Following a ballot, Group A was formed by cars with even numbers and Group B by those with odd numbers. Circuit De Monaco
Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit laid out on the city streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine around the harbour of the Principality of Monaco. It is commonly, and even officially, referred to as "Monte Carlo" because it is largely inside the Monte Carlo neighbourhood of Monaco. The circuit is annually used on three weekends in April–May for Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, Formula E Monaco ePrix and Historic Grand Prix of Monaco. Josef Král
Josef Král (born 15 June 1990 in Dvůr Králové nad Labem) is a professional racing driver from the Czech Republic. Career Karting & early career Král began his motorsport career in karting back in 1998, and during the following seven years he achieved notable success, winning the Czech Republic ICA Junior title in 2003 and the Czech ICA 100 Championship the following year, as well as numerous other titles. In 2005, Král made his Formula Racing debut, finishing third in the Czech Formula 1400 series. Formula BMW In 2006, Král made the step up to Formula BMW, competing in the German ADAC series. Driving for Micánek Motorsport, he scored forty points during the year to be classified in twelfth place. Ocean Racing Technology
Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) was a racing team that took part in both the GP2 Main Series and the GP2 Asia Series Championships. The team, owned by Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, was formed at the end of the 2008 season after being purchased from BCN, a team which never enjoyed much success in GP2 (two podiums in four years). The driver and the entrepreneur created a structure based on recognized professionals and quickly started to secure first-class results, making it possible for the Portuguese Racing team to fight with the more advanced teams in the FIA accredited championship that is the main feeder series for Formula One. Víctor Guerin
Victor Guerin (born 17 June 1992 in São Paulo) is a professional Brazilian racing driver. Career Karting Guerin had some karting experience, by participating in various Brazilian championships. Formula Three Sudamericana Guerin graduated to single-seaters, competing in the Light Class of the local Formula Three Sudamericana championship. He won one race and amassed another four podiums. After ten races in this class, he stepped up to main class, contesting four races, finishing one of them on podium. Formula Abarth In 2010, Guerin switched to Europe, joining the newly launched Formula Abarth series in Italy with JD Motorsport. Team Lazarus
Team Lazarus is an Italian auto racing team, based in Padova, which is currently competing in the International GT Open and Blancpain GT Endurance Series formerly starting in GP2 Series and Auto GP. Background Team Lazarus were founded in 2009 by Tancredi Pagiaro, who also founded the GP Racing team in 1997. The team took part in three rounds of the 2009 Euroseries 3000 season, debuting at the season-opener in Portimão with GP2 Series drivers Michael Herck and Diego Nunes, who were racing in order to learn the circuit ahead of the GP2 Series visit there later in the year. Fabrizio Crestani
Fabrizio Crestani (born 17 December 1987) is an Italian racing driver. Career Having competed in karts until 2005, Crestani moved up to the Formula Junior 1600 Italia championship, finishing in 4th place in the championship, driving for PSR Motorsport. Crestani had one win and finished behind Pasquale Di Sabatino, Mihai Marinescu and Jaime Alguersuari in the championship. He also made his debut in the Italian Formula Three Championship for Corbetta Competizioni at the final round at the Misano World Circuit. Having qualified 7th for both races, Fabrizio recorded a sixth and a seventh from the two races, allowing him to finish 13th in the championship. Simon Trummer (born 8 June 1989 in Frutigen, Canton of Bern) is a racing driver from Switzerland. Career Karting Trummer began his motorsport career in karting back in 2003, finishing second in the Swiss Junior Championship. He also finished 21st in the Andrea Margutti Trophy ICA Junior class. Formula Lista Junior Trummer moved up to single-seaters in 2006, competing in Formula Lista Junior. He finished eighteenth overall in the championship with ten points. Luiz Felipe de Oliveira Nasr (born 21 August 1992) is a Brazilian racing driver. He is the 2018 IMSA Sportscar champion and won the 2019 12 Hours of Sebring. Racing Engineering is a Spanish racing team founded in 1999 by Alfonso de Orléans-Borbón that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Nathanaël Berthon (born 1 July 1989 in Romagnat) is a professional racing driver from France. It was founded in 2006 in order to compete in the GP2 championship, which was Europe's second highest-ranking single-seater formula below Formula One.
