2011–12 RCD Mallorca Season
The 2011–12 season will be the 78th season in Real Club Deportivo Mallorca's history and their 15th consecutive season in La Liga, the top division of Spanish football. It covers a period from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012. Mallorca will compete for their first La Liga title after a 17th-place finish in the 2010–11 La Liga. They will also enter the Copa del Rey in the Round of 32. Real Club Deportivo Mallorca, S.A.D. (, ca, Reial Club Deportiu Mallorca , ''Royal Sporting Club Mallorca''), commonly known as Real Mallorca or just Mallorca is a Spanish professional football club based in Palma on the island of Majorca in the Balearic Islands. Founded on 5 March 1916, they currently compete in La Liga, holding home games at the Visit Mallorca Stadium with a 23,142-seat capacity. The club had its peak in the late 1990s and early 2000s, reaching a best-ever 3rd place in La Liga in 1999 and 2001 and winning the Copa del Rey in 2003 following final defeats in 1991 and 1998. Sergio Tejera
Sergio Tejera Rodríguez (born 28 May 1990) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Cypriot First Division club Anorthosis Famagusta F.C. as a central midfielder. Club career Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Tejera joined local RCD Espanyol's youth ranks in 2000, aged 10. Six years later, he was spotted by Chelsea scout Frank Arnesen during a match with the Spain under-15s, joining the London club in late March. During his spell with the ''Blues'', he appeared in 22 games for the reserves and scored once. In the last days of the 2009 January transfer window, Chelsea agreed to loan Tejera to RCD Mallorca in his country. Martí Crespí
Martí Crespí Pascual (; born 15 June 1987) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Atlético Sanluqueño CF as a central defender. Club career Born in Sa Pobla, Majorca, Balearic Islands, Crespí finished his development at local RCD Mallorca. He made his senior debut whilst on loan, successively representing Segunda División clubs Granada 74 CF, Xerez CD and Elche CF; he scored his first goal as a professional on 9 March 2008 while at the service of Granada, in a 2–1 away loss against CD Castellón. After returning to the Estadi de Son Moix, Crespí's maiden appearance in La Liga took place on 3 October 2010 when he played the entire 1–1 away draw with FC Barcelona. José Luis Martí
José Luis Martí Soler (born 28 April 1975) is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who played as a central midfielder. Known for his tactical awareness, he amassed La Liga totals of 336 matches and eight goals over 13 seasons, representing Mallorca (two spells), Tenerife and Sevilla. He won five major titles with the latter club, including two UEFA Cups. Víctor Casadesús
Víctor Manuel Casadesús Castaño (born 28 February 1985) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Andorran club Atlètic Club d'Escaldes as a forward. Club career Casadesús was born in Algaida, Mallorca. A product of hometown RCD Mallorca's youth ranks, he first appeared officially with the first team on 17 April 2005 in a 0–0 La Liga home draw against Valencia CF, and established himself as a useful attacking player in the following seasons. José Carlos de Araújo Nunes (born 7 March 1977) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a centre back. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 129 games and two goals over five seasons, representing Salgueiros, Gil Vicente and Braga. He spent most of his professional career, however, with Mallorca in Spain, signing in 2006 and appearing in 258 official matches in eight La Liga campaigns. Akihiro Ienaga
is a Japanese football player who plays for Kawasaki Frontale. He played for Japan national team. Club career Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Ienaga began his career as a trainee with Gamba Osaka, one of the leading clubs in Japan's J1 League. He broke into the senior squad in 2004 and helped the club to their first J1 League title the following year. Ienaga joined J1 League rivals Oita Trinita on a season-long loan in 2007. David "Dudu" Aouate (or Awat, he, דוד "דודו" אוואט, ''pronounced Dūdū Ahwaht''; born 17 October 1977) is an Israeli retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. After playing for several clubs in his country, most notably Maccabi Haifa, he moved to Spain in 2003, going on to represent Racing de Santander, Deportivo La Coruña and Mallorca for a total of 303 La Liga matches. Gonzalo "Chory" Castro Irizábal (born 14 September 1984) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Club Atlético River Plate (Montevideo) as a left winger.
