2011–12 Indiana State Sycamores Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Indiana State Sycamores men's basketball team represented Indiana State University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sycamores, led by second year head coach Greg Lansing, played their home games at the Hulman Center and are members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 18–15, 8–10 in MVC play to finish in eighth place. The lost in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Basketball tournament to Wichita State. They were invited to the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Robert Morris. Greg Lansing
Gregory A. Lansing (born December 9, 1967) is a current special assistant to the head coach at Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball, Arizona State. An assistant and head coach at the high school and college levels since 1990, he was most recently the head men's basketball coach at Indiana State Sycamores men's basketball, Indiana State University from 2010 to 2021, having twice previously been an assistant coach at Indiana State. Originally from Harlan, Iowa, Lansing played college basketball at South Dakota Coyotes men's basketball, South Dakota and was the North Central Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 1990. After two years as a graduate assistant there, Lansing was an assistant coach at South Dakota from 1992 to 1993. Fant–Ewing Coliseum
Fant–Ewing Coliseum is a 7,085-seat multi-purpose arena in Monroe, Louisiana, United States, on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. It was built in 1971 and is home to the Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team. The arena also hosts concerts and events. History The first men's basketball game played in Fant-Ewing was on December 1, 1971, against Sam Houston State, who defeated ULM 71–70. The Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks (ULM Warhawks) are the intercollegiate athletics teams representing the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM). The Eastern Illinois Panthers are the intercollegiate athletic programs of Eastern Illinois University (EIU) located in Charleston, Illinois, United States.
