2011 Men's South American Volleyball Championship
The 2011 Men's South American Volleyball Championship was the 29th edition of the tournament, organised by CSV. It was held in Cuiabá, Brazil from 19 to 25 September 2011. Sérgio Dutra dos Santos, known as Serginho or Escadinha (born 15 October 1975) is a Brazilian former volleyball player and four-time Olympian. Rodrigo Santana (born 17 April 1979), commonly known as Rodrigão, is a Brazilian former volleyball player who won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Luciano De Cecco (born 2 June 1988) is an Argentine professional volleyball player who plays as a setter for Modena Volley and the Argentina men's national volleyball team, Argentina national team. Kervin Piñerua
Kervin Martin Piñerúa Urbina (22 February 1991 – 18 November 2016) was a Venezuelan volleyball player who played as an opposite hitter for Miranda and as captain for Venezuela's national team. On November 18, 2016 he died at a hospital in Ankara after a heart attack. Personal life Piñerúa started playing baseball and competing in athletics at an early age. He was convinced by his mother to play volleyball and entered Venezuela's national team at the age of 18. Bernardo Rezende
Bernardo Rocha de Rezende (born 25 August 1959), known as Bernardo Rezende and nicknamed Bernardinho, is a Brazilian volleyball coach and former player. He is the current coach of the female volleyball team Rio de Janeiro Vôlei Clube. Rezende is one of the most successful coaches in the history of volleyball, accumulating more than 30 major titles in a twenty-year career directing the Brazilian Brazil men's national volleyball team, male and Brazil women's national volleyball team, female teams. Dante Amaral
Dante Guimarães Santos do Amaral (born 30 September 1980) is a Brazilian former professional volleyball player, who is best known as Dante. Measuring he played in the position of outside hitter. He was born in Itumbiara. Biography Early years Career Dante began his professional career in 1999 with the club Tres Corações. After another two years at Brazilian clubs Suzano São Paulo and Minas Belo Horizonte, in 2002 he got transferred to Italy, playing with Pallavolo Modena, where he won the CEV Cup. In 2005 he joined Greek team Panathinaikos. He won the Greek championship in 2006 and the Greek cup and supercup in 2007.
