2010–11 USC Trojans Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 USC Trojans men's basketball team represented the University of Southern California during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Trojans, led by second year head coach Kevin O'Neill (basketball), Kevin O'Neill, played their home games at the Galen Center and were members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 19–15, 10–8 in Pac-10 play. They lost in the semifinals of the 2011 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament to 2010–11 Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team, Arizona. Kevin O'Neill (basketball)
Kevin James O'Neill (born January 24, 1957) is an American basketball coach with experience as the head coach of various College basketball, college and National Basketball Association (NBA) teams. Most recently he was the coach of the USC Trojans men's basketball, USC Trojans basketball team. O'Neill was born in Malone (village), New York, Malone, New York and attended McGill University in Montreal, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He lettered in basketball for three years in college, 1976–79, and in 1978 the McGill Redman had a school-record 28 win season and entered the Canadian Interuniversity Sport men's basketball championship tournament. He graduated from McGill in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in education, and later earned his master's degree in secondary education from Marycrest College Historic District, Marycrest College in 1983, where he also served as head coach of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, NAIA basketball team for the 1982–83 season. Marcus Jermaine Simmons (born January 28, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the USC Trojans. High school career Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, Simmons attended local Peabody Magnet High School where he averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists per game as a junior, leading Peabody to a 34–5 record and a No. 2 ranking in the state of Louisiana.
