2010–11 Cardiff City F.C. Season
The 2010–11 season was Cardiff City F.C.'s 84th in the Football League since joining in 1920. The season has been nicknamed "I'll be there", which is to promote the celebration of 100 years as a club under its current name. They will play their eighth consecutive year in the second tier of English football, the Football League Championship, after being beaten by Blackpool in the play-off final last season. Malaysian businessman Datuk Chan Tien Ghee became the successor of Peter Ridsdale as Cardiff City chairman. The £6m deal was confirmed on 27 May 2010. Season review "I'll be there" Cardiff City released a new initiative for the 2010–11 season, as their "I'll be there" campaign. Dave Jones (football Manager)
David Ronald Jones (born 17 August 1956) is an English former footballer and manager who was most recently the manager of Hartlepool United. Jones played for Everton, Coventry and Preston North End as a defender. In 1995, he became the manager of Stockport County, guiding the team to a League Cup semi-final and automatic promotion to the second tier of English football in 1997. He left Stockport to become the manager of Southampton in the Premier League, where he stayed for over 100 games until he was suspended by the club in January 2000, after his arrest on charges of child abuse. When the case came to court, the judge recorded a not guilty verdict. Jones later spoke of his bitterness about the handling of the case and claimed it was the cause of his father's death, who had died shortly after the allegations became public. Peter Ridsdale
Peter Ridsdale (born 11 March 1952) is an English businessman who is a director at Preston North End. He was until December 2011 the Chairman of Football Operations at Plymouth Argyle. Ridsdale was previously the chairman of Leeds United, Barnsley and Cardiff City. History Leeds United Ridsdale became chairman of hometown club Leeds United in 1997 and enjoyed success in the first four years of tenure as Leeds reached the UEFA Cup semi-final in 1999–2000 and the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 2000–01. During this time he enjoyed a good relationship with the Leeds fans. However, once the full extent of what Ridsdale and his board had done at the club was discovered, his once positive relationship with fans disintegrated. Puma SE is a German multinational corporation which designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear, apparel, and accessories, headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, Germany. Paul Quinn (footballer, Born 1985)
Paul Charles Quinn (born 21 July 1985) is a Scottish former professional footballer. His usual position was right back, but he could also play at centre back or on the right wing. Quinn started his career at Motherwell and also played for Cardiff City, Doncaster Rovers, Ross County (two spells), Aberdeen and Dundee United. Motherwell (, ) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Mark Alexander Hudson (born 30 March 1982) is an English football manager and former professional footballer who is currently first team coach at Ipswich Town. A centre-back, he began his professional career with Fulham after progressing through the club's youth academy. He made his senior debut in a League Cup match in 2000 but made just two further first team appearances for Fulham. He spent two spells on loan with Oldham Athletic in 2003 before joining Crystal Palace on loan after Oldham manager Iain Dowie moved between the two clubs.
