2010 World Junior Baseball Championship
The 2010 World Junior Baseball Championship was an International Baseball Federation, international baseball competition being held at the Port Arthur Stadium and Central Ball Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada from July 23 to August 1, 2010. Teams Just before the tournament started on July 23, the organization had to announce that the team from Venezuela national baseball team, Venezuela would not attend the tournament. However, on the second day of the tournament it was announced that Venezuela has joined the other 11 nations. The original schedule remained in place, and Venezuela Forfeit (baseball), forfeited its first scheduled game on July 23, giving a 9–0 win to Australia national baseball team, Australia. Tzu-Wei Lin (; born February 15, 1994) is a Taiwanese professional baseball infielder for the Rakuten Monkeys of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). The World Baseball Softball Confederation Oceania, known as WBSC Oceania, formerly known as Baseball Confederation of Oceania (abbreviated as BCO), is the governing body of baseball and softball within Oceania, and is responsible for the Oceania Baseball Championship. The Baseball Confederation of Oceania was established in 1989, it currently has 14 member nations. Not all member nations are represented in the executive committee which creates conflict within the region. The lesser countries tend not to support regional tournaments which contributes negatively to the growth of the sport in the region. The , also known as , is the national team representing Japan in international baseball competitions. It won the World Baseball Classic in 2006, 2009, and 2023 as well as WBSC Premier12 in 2019. The team is currently ranked 1st in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation and is a baseball powerhouse. 2009 Americas Junior Baseball Championship
