2010 Texas Longhorns Baseball Team
The 2010 Texas Longhorns baseball team represented the Texas Longhorns baseball program for the University of Texas in the 2010 NCAA Division I baseball season. Augie Garrido coached the team in his 14th season at Texas. Texas finished the regular season with a Big 12 Regular season title, their 6th in the Big 12. They went on to host a Regional at UFCU Disch–Falk Field where they went 3–0, defeating , 2010 Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns baseball team, Louisiana–Lafayette, and and advancing to the Super Regionals. Texas hosted 2010 TCU Horned Frogs baseball team, TCU for the Super Regional Round, falling to TCU in 3 games. Augie Garrido
August Edmun "Augie" Garrido Jr. (February 6, 1939 – March 15, 2018) was an American professional baseball player and coach in NCAA Division I college baseball, best known for his stints with the Cal State Fullerton Titans and Texas Longhorns. Garrido compiled a collegiate record of 1,975–951–9 and retired in 2016 as the coach with, at the time, the most wins in college baseball history. His win total was surpassed by Mike Martin of the Florida State Seminoles in 2018. He took his programs to 15 College World Series, winning five of them: three with Cal State Fullerton and two with Texas. He is often considered the greatest coach in college baseball history. Hoby Milner
Hoby Trey Milner (born January 13, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Philadelphia Phillies, Tampa Bay Rays, Los Angeles Angels, and Milwaukee Brewers. He made his MLB debut in 2017 with the Phillies. Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park, nicknamed "The Law", is the home stadium of the Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team in Lubbock, Texas. Reckling Park
Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, US. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978 to 1999, in time for the 2000 season. The Owls have hosted 10 NCAA regional and five super regional tournaments at Reckling Park, including one of each in their national championship season of 2003 and in the years of other College World Series appearances, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008. The Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic is an annual six-team college baseball tournament held in Houston and hosted by the Astros Foundation. The 15th annual tournament was held at Minute Maid Park in March 2015. An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder.
