2010 Taini Jamison Trophy Series
The 2010 Taini Jamison Trophy Series was the third Taini Jamison Trophy series. It featured New Zealand playing Samoa and Jamaica in a series of three netball test matches, played in August 2010. New Zealand won all three tests. The New Zealand team were coached by Ruth Aitken and captained by Casey Williams. All the teams used the series to prepare for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. 2009 Taini Jamison Trophy Series
The 2009 Taini Jamison Trophy Series, also referred to as the New World Series, was the second Taini Jamison Trophy series. It featured New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand playing a World Netball, World 7 in a series of three Test match (netball), netball test matches, played in August 2009. The World 7 won the opening test 48–44. They then went 2–0 up by winning the second test 53–44. This confirmed the World 7 as winners of the Taini Jamison Trophy. New Zealand won the third test 46–41 to see the series finish 2–1. The New Zealand team were coached by Ruth Aitken and captained by Casey Williams. Katrina Grant
Katrina Rore (née Grant; born 6 May 1987 in Papakura, Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand international netball player. Rore is a previous captain of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, and plays for the Central Pulse in the ANZ Championship. Rore signed to the New South Wales Swifts in the Suncorp Super Netball league in the latter half of the 2018–2019 season following the Netball World Cup. In domestic netball, Rore previously played for the Canterbury Flames in the National Bank Cup in 2005, before moving south for a two-year stint with the Otago Rebels (2006–07). In the ANZ Championship, she played for the Southern Steel in 2008 and 2009, before signing with the Wellington-based Central Pulse for 2010. Rore was included in the Silver Ferns team for 2008. Sasher-Gaye Henry (born 9 November 1979 in Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica) is a Jamaican former international netball player and current co-coach of the Jamaica national netball team, the Sunshine Girls. Henry won a bronze medal in netball at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She was appointed co-head coach of the Sunshine Girls in 2017, along with Marvette Anderson, after the resignation of previous coach Jermaine Allison-McCracken. Queensland Firebirds are an Australian professional netball team based in Brisbane, Queensland. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship and between 1997 and 2007, they played in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. Romelda Aiken
Romelda Aiken-George (néé Aiken) (born 19 November 1988) is a Jamaican netball player. Aiken debuted for the Jamaica national team in 2005 as a replacement for regular shooter Elaine Davis. The shooter rose to international prominence during the 2007 Netball World Championships. Nicole Alicia Aiken-Pinnock (née Aiken; born 11 December 1985) is a Jamaican netball player. Pinnock started playing international representative netball as early as 2004, although she made her senior debut in the Jamaica national team, the Sunshine Girls, at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. In 2007, Pinnock received a four-year scholarship to play basketball with Lamar University in Texas, where she played center for the Cardinals. However, in 2008 it was reported that Pinnock had given up the scholarship and returned to her first college, G.C. Foster. Waimarama Taumaunu (born 18 October 1962), often known as Wai Taumaunu, is a New Zealand netball coach and former international netball player. Biography Taumaunu was born in Waipawa, New Zealand. She was a member of New Zealand's national netball team, the Silver Ferns, from 1981 to 1991. During that time, she played in the team that won the 1987 Netball World Championships, and was also captain of the team in the last three years of her international career. Daneka Wipiiti (born 8 December 1982 in Hamilton, New Zealand) is a former New Zealand international netball player who played for the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, and the Southern Steel in the ANZ Championship. Wipiiti started her netball career in 1998 for the Western Flyers as a 15-year-old in the National Bank Cup. She transferred to the Northern Force in 2002, playing with them until 2006. Solonaima Maria Folau (née Tuta'ia; born 18 February 1987 in Tokoroa, New Zealand) is a retired New Zealand netball player. She played regularly for the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns. Early life Folau was born Solonaima Maria Tuta'ia in Tokoroa on 18 February 1987, the daughter of Fuisami Tuta'ia, a forestry worker, and his wife, Niukini, a homemaker, who in 1983 had moved to New Zealand from Samoa. Anna Maree Harrison (born 15 April 1983), originally known as Anna Scarlett, is a former New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won gold medals at the 2003 World Netball Championships and 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games. Grace Rasmussen
Grace Kara (née Rasmussen; born 18 March 1988 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a former New Zealand netball player of Samoan descent. Kara played in the National Bank Cup for the Auckland Diamonds from 2005 to 2007. She continued playing in Auckland for the Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championship, starting in 2008. She is the younger sister of fellow Mystics player Rachel Rasmussen and she is also the older sister of Ann-Helen Rasmussen.
