2010 Football League One Play-off Final
The 2010 Football League One play-off final was an association football match which was played on 29 May 2010 at Wembley Stadium, London, between Millwall and Swindon Town to determine the third and final team to gain promotion from Football League One to the Football League Championship. The top two teams of the 2009–10 Football League One season, Norwich City and Leeds United, gained automatic promotion to the Championship, while the teams placed from third to sixth place in the table took part in play-off semi-finals; the winners of these semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2010–11 season in the Championship. Charlton Athletic and Huddersfield Town were the losing semi-finalists, having been defeated by Swindon and Millwall respectively. The referee for the match, which was played in front of 73,108 spectators, was Colin Webster. Millwall F
Millwall is a district on the western and southern side of the Isle of Dogs, in east London, England, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Kevin Osei-Kuffour Amankwaah (born 19 May 1982) is an English former footballer who played as a defender. Amankwaah enjoyed successful stints at Bristol City and Swindon Town. Early life Awankwaah was born in Harrow, London to Ghanaian parents. Club career He began his career as a trainee with Bristol City, turning professional in June 2000. The Football League play-offs for the 2010–11 season (referred to as the npower Football League Play-Offs for sponsorship reasons) were held in May 2011. The Championship final took place at Wembley Stadium in London, but the League One and Two finals were held at Old Trafford in Manchester, due to a clash with the UEFA Champions League Final. David Forde (footballer)
David Forde (born 20 December 1979) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Internationally, Forde played for the Republic of Ireland between 2011 and 2016 and was part of the team's 23-man squad for the 2012 European Championships. In 2013, he became the oldest player to make their competitive debut for the Republic of Ireland, when he played against Sweden at the age of 33. Forde started his career with his hometown club Galway United in 1999. After two seasons with Galway, he moved to Welsh League Champions Barry Town and from there to West Ham United. Charles Austin (born 5 July 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Southern League Premier Division South club AFC Totton. Daniel James Schofield (born 10 April 1980) is an English former footballer and manager who is an assistant coach at Central Coast Mariners. Scott Cuthbert
Scott James Cuthbert (born 15 June 1987) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is currently a first-team coach at Stevenage. Cuthbert began his career in the youth system at Celtic and signed his first professional contract with the club in August 2003.
