2010 British Soap Awards
The 2010 British Soap Awards honoured the best in British soap operas throughout 2010 and 2011. The ceremony was held on 8 May 2010 at the London Studios, Lambeth, and was later broadcast on ITV1 and STV. The publicly voted categories were initially announced, which included a longlist for the Best Actress and Actor awards. The shortlist, including panel nominations, were released later. BBC soap ''EastEnders'' won the most awards of the night, taking ten awards. These included five of the six publicly-voted categories, notably the accolade for Best British Soap. ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' won three awards, while BBC soap ''Doctors'' took both the Best On-Screen Partnership and Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress accolades. The British Soap Awards
The British Soap Awards (BSAs) are an annual awards ceremony in the United Kingdom which honours the best moments in British soap operas. The ceremony is televised on ITV. The trophies given to the winners are made from metal and glass and have been manufactured by British firm Creative Awards since their inception. The majority of the awards are voted for by a panel of industry professionals, while certain awards including Best British Soap and Best Leading Performer are voted for by the general public. History The first British Soap Awards took place in 1999 and was presented by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, who presented the awards until 2001. Stacey Branning
Stacey Slater (also Branning and Fowler) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'', played by Lacey Turner. She first appears in episode 2826, originally broadcast on 1 November 2004. The character is introduced as a feisty and troublesome teenager and extension to the already established Slater family (EastEnders), Slater family. Blanche Hunt
Blanche Hunt is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. She was originally played by Patricia Cutts; however, the actress died by suicide after appearing in just two episodes in August 1974. Margaret Jones (21 June 1934 – 2 December 2009) was an English actress, best known for playing Blanche Hunt in the British soap opera ''Coronation Street'', a role which she first portrayed in 1974 and played regularly from the late-1990s until shortly before her death.
