Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield 2009–10, officially named as ''Canbo Senior Shield'' () due to the competition's sponsorship by Guangdong Canbo Electrical, was the 108th season of one of the Asian oldest football knockout competition, Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield. It was a knockout competition for all the teams of Hong Kong First Division League. The winner South China has guaranteed a place in the 2011 AFC Cup. South China Athletic Association (known simply as South China, SCAA, ) is a Hong Kong professional football club that competes in the Hong Kong First Division, the second-tier league in Hong Kong football league system. The club is historically one of the most successful football clubs in Hong Kong, having won a record 41 First Division titles, a record 31 Senior Shields, a record 10 FA Cups and 3 League Cups. Hong Kong Pegasus FC () are a Hong Kong football club based in Yuen Long. Founded in 2008, the club currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. History TSW Pegasus was established in June 2008, and they had their first season in 2008–09 Hong Kong First Division League with a budget of about HKD$10,000,000. On 21 December 2008, Pegasus won their first trophy, defeating Sun Hei in the 2008 Senior Shield Final. In July 2012, the club was renamed as Sun Pegasus following introduction of a new sponsor. Alessandro Ferreira Leonardo (born 10 March 1987), commonly known as Sandro (), is a Brazilian-born Hong Kong professional football player who is currently a free agent. Club career Citizen Sandro was sent off after a second bookable offence in the match against South China, when he pressured Zhang Chunhui to take his goal kick quickly and was considered by the referee to have obstructed the goalkeeper. José Wellington Bento dos Santos (; born 11 September 1973), known as Detinho, is a former Brazilian professional footballer who played as a striker. He also holds a Portuguese passport. Yuen Long Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the current home ground of Hong Kong Premier League club Pegasus and the former home ground of Yuen Long. History Originally a piece of vacant land next to Shui Bin Village, the stadium was built by the Yuen Long District Sports Association with local support. It was constructed by Yuen Long Cheong Kee Construction for HK$198,000 in 1965. The stadium opened on 15 December 1969 with a First Division match between Yuen Long and Fire Services.
