2009–10 FIBA EuroChallenge
2009–10 FIBA EuroChallenge was the seventh edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational men's professional club basketball FIBA EuroChallenge Tournament, organized by FIBA Europe. Teams Regular season The Regular Season begins from November 24, 2009. Group A Group B Group C Group D Group E Group F Group G Group H Last 16 Group I Group J Group K Group L Quarterfinals The quarterfinals were played in a best-of-three playoff format. The winners of the groups in the top 16 hosted game one and three (if possible). Final Four The Final Four was held from 30 April until 2 May and was hosted at the Lokhalle in Göttingen, Germany. 2008–09 FIBA EuroChallenge
The 2008–09 FIBA EuroChallenge was the sixth edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational men's professional club basketball FIBA EuroChallenge Tournament, and the first under the FIBA EuroChallenge name, organized by FIBA Europe. It was also the first season that eliminated teams from the ULEB Cup would transfer to a FIBA competition after the 2000 conflict between ULEB and FIBA. Additionally the formerly known ULEB Cup would be now renamed to '' EuroCup'' from 2008 and onwards. A total number of 32 teams participated in the regular season and a total of 40 teams competed including the qualifying rounds. Virtus Bologna won its first EuroChallenge title after defeating Cholet in the Final of the Final Four, which was hosted in Bologna. Format In all there are 40 teams from 21 countries, plus sixteen teams from the 2008–09 Eurocup Basketball first preliminary round and second preliminary round. Enisey Krasnoyarsk
BC Yenisey () is a Russian professional basketball team from the city of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. Since the 2011–12 season, Enisey plays in the VTB United League. The team colors are blue and white. Its full name is Basketball Club Enisey Krasnoyarsk Krai. History Yenisey Krasnoyarsk was founded as Polytechnic, and played its games at the Krasnoyarsk State Technical University. The team started off in the lower leagues of the Soviet Union, and its best achievement was winning the USSR Cup for teams in Siberia in 1988. In the 1997–98 season, the team played at the highest Russian level for the first time, when it played in the Russian Super League 1. However, the club was relegated immediately, and the next comeback of the club to Russian the highest level was in 2007, when the team was promoted again. Košarkaški klub Zagreb (), commonly referred to as KK Zagreb or simply Zagreb, was a professional basketball club based in Zagreb, Croatia. It competed in the ABA League and the Croatian League. The Favbet Premijer liga (, ), also known as simply Premijer liga, is the first tier level men's professional basketball league in Croatia. It began in 1991, following the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia and therefore the Yugoslav League, and is organized by the Croatian Basketball Federation. Antwerp Giants, named Windrose Giants Antwerp for sponsorship reasons, is a Belgians, Belgian professional basketball club based in Antwerp. Their home arena is Lotto Arena.
