Trabzonspor Club Women's Football Team () is the women's football team of Trabzonspor in Trabzon, Turkey. It was established on 16 October 2007. Right after its foundation, the team was invited to join the Turkish Women's Football Super League. However, the league was cancelled in 2003 but re-established for the 2007–08 season. Trabzonspor were the champions in the 2008–09 season, which was the second year of the league. History Foundation The first women's football team in Trabzon was of the Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi (KTÜ) formed in 2001. Following this initiative, another football club in Trabzon, İdmanocağı founded its women's team basing it on the squad of Trabzon High School. Konak Belediyespor Women's Football () is the women's football team of the Turkish multi-sport club Konak Belediyespor based in Konak district of İzmir, Turkey. The team was established by the district municipality in 2006. Many players of the Konak Belediyespor women's team are members of the Turkey women's national football team. Mersin () is a large city and port on the Mediterranean coast of southern Turkey. It is the provincial capital of the Mersin Province (formerly İçel). It is the team of the Gazi University and played in Turkey's top level league, the Turkish Women's Football Premier League. History The club was founded in the 1999–2000 season at Gazi University in Ankara with female students, who attended football courses in physical education and sports programs.
