2008 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series In Canada
The 2008 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series in Canada was a tournament of Twenty20 International cricket matches that was held in Canada from 10 to 13 October 2008. The four participating teams are Canada cricket team, Canada, Pakistan national cricket team, Pakistan, Sri Lanka cricket team, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe cricket team, Zimbabwe. The matches were played at the North-West ground of Maple Leaf Cricket Club in King City, Ontario. Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final. Twenty20 International
Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings. The first T20I match took place on 17 February 2005 between Australia and New Zealand, with the first ICC T20 World Cup held in 2007. The matches were initially competed between the full members of the ICC and selected associate member teams. In April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to matches played amongst any of all its 105 members from 1 January 2019. Salman Butt ( Punjabi:سلمان بٹ; born 7 October 1984) is a former Pakistani cricketer and captain who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2003 and 2010, before getting banned for five years for his involvement in a 2010 spot-fixing scandal. Khalid Latif (cricketer)
Khalid Latif (; born 4 November 1985) is a former Pakistani cricketer who played as an opening batsman in international cricket for Pakistan. A right-handed opening batsman, he captained Pakistan during the country's 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup win and the 2010 Asian Games bronze medal win. In February 2017, the Pakistan Cricket Board suspended Latif over his suspected involvement in the 2017 Pakistan Super League spot-fixing scandal. Abdur Rauf Khan (born 9 December 1978) is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for the Pakistani national cricket team between 2008 and 2009. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, Khan made his first-class debut in October 1999. He joined the national squad for series against South Africa and Bangladesh in 2002/03 but did play an international in either. He has since toured India with the Pakistan A team. Henry Osinde
Henry Osinde (born 17 October 1978) is a Canadian cricket coach and former player. He immigrated to Canada from Uganda as a young man and represented the Canada national cricket team from 2005 to 2013 as a fast-medium bowler. He played at the 2007 and 2011 Cricket World Cups.
