2008 Camping World RV 400
The 2008 Camping World RV 400, was the twenty-eighth race of the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season and the second race in the ten-race Chase for the Sprint Cup. The race was held on Sunday, September 21 at the Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware, the city that serves as state capital of the First State. ABC telecast the race beginning at 1 PM US EDT and MRN along with Sirius Satellite Radio provided radio coverage starting at 1:15 PM US EDT. 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
The 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was the 60th season of professional stock car racing in the United States and the 37th modern-era Cup season. It was contested over thirty-six races, and began on February 9 at Daytona International Speedway with the Budweiser Shootout exhibition race, followed by the 50th Daytona 500 on February 17. The season continued with the 2008 Chase for the Sprint Cup beginning on September 14 with the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and concluded with the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 16. Patrick Carpentier
Patrick Carpentier (born August 13, 1971) is a retired Canadian professional auto racing driver. In the Champ Car World Series and the IndyCar Series, he achieved five wins and 24 podiums, as well as two third place championship finishes in 2002 and 2004. The long-time Champ Car driver switched to the IndyCar Series in 2005, and moved on to Grand Am Road Racing in 2007. After a few NASCAR races in 2007, he moved full-time into the series in 2008. Carl Michael Edwards II (born August 15, 1979) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. New Hampshire Motor Speedway
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a oval speedway located in Loudon, New Hampshire, which has hosted NASCAR racing annually since 1990, as well as the longest-running motorcycle race in North America, the Loudon Classic. Stanton Thomas Barrett (born December 1, 1972) is an American professional stock car racing driver and Hollywood stuntman who last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro for Mike Harmon Racing, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 11 Toyota Camry for Fast Track Racing. Jonathan Joseph "Johnny" Sauter (born May 1, 1978) is an American professional stock car racing driver. Chad Chaffin (born July 20, 1968) is an American former stock car racing driver. Chaffin has raced in all three of NASCAR's major series. He was a two-time track champion at the historic Nashville Speedway USA, where he met his friend, Andy Kirby. NASCAR career Sprint Cup Chad made his Sprint Cup debut in 2004 at Martinsville. Mark Anthony Martin (born January 9, 1959) is a retired American stock car racing driver. He has the second most wins all time in what is now the Xfinity Series with 49. He scored 40 Cup Series wins.
