2007 Spokane Shock Season
The 2007 Spokane Shock season continued the team's Cinderella story from 2006, which saw the Shock go 17-2 (including playoffs) and become the first expansion team in af2 history. Of course, the ultimate goal in 2007 was to make it back to the ArenaCup Championship Game. Off-season The 2006-2007 off season saw several members of the 2006 team get signed by AFL teams. Between seasons Head Coach Fred Siegfried accepted the offensive coordinator position for the AFL's Kansas City Brigade. Regular season Week 1: vs. Stockton Lightning ''at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, Spokane, Washington'' In front of another sold out crowd, 10,653 fans watched the defending 2006 ArenaCup Champions take to the field on Saturday, March 31, 2007 for their season opener. Stockton, California
Stockton is a city in and the county seat of San Joaquin County in the Central Valley of the U.S. state of California. Stockton was founded by Carlos Maria Weber in 1849 after he acquired Rancho Campo de los Franceses. The city is named after Robert F. Everett, Washington
Everett is the county seat and largest city of Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is north of Seattle and is one of the main cities in the metropolitan area and the Puget Sound region. Everett is the seventh-largest city in the state by population, with 110,629 residents as of the 2020 census. Everett Events Center
Angel of the Winds Arena (originally known as Everett Events Center) is a multi-purpose complex in Everett, Washington, United States, designed and developed by the Everett Public Facilities District. It opened in October 2003, with the naming rights being sold to Comcast in 2007 and subsequently to Angel of the Winds Casino Resort in 2017. The 10,000-seat venue has hosted a variety of concerts and other performances, including the Ringling Brothers Circus, Disney on Ice, the Harlem Globetrotters, and Sesame Street Live. Selland Arena
Selland Arena is a multi-purpose arena built in 1966 that makes up part of a four-venue complex of the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center in Fresno, California. It is named after former Fresno mayor Arthur L. Selland and has had over 10 million people walk through its doors in its over 50-year history. The arena originally had a 6,582 seating capacity, but a expansion project in 1981 increased the seating to its current capacity of 10,132. Before the 1997-1998 Fresno State basketball season, capacity was increased to 10,220. The Selland Arena underwent an additional $15 million renovation in November 2006, that included the installation of new seats, a new video replay scoreboard, message boards and a new ice-cooling system for hockey games. Robert Garth
Robert Garth (born October 2, 1979) is a former American football linebacker and wide receiver, who played for eight seasons in Arena Football 2. He is best known for his six-plus seasons with the Green Bay Blizzard. He played for the team from 2003 to 2006 and again in 2008 through 2009. Garth was honored by Arena Football 2 as one of the top 10 Ironman players of all time for his play both ways on offense and defense. Kennewick () is a city in Benton County in the U.S. state of Washington. Toyota Center (Kennewick)
The Toyota Center is a multi-purpose arena in the northwest United States, located in Kennewick, Washington. Opened in 1988 as the Tri-Cities Coliseum, the arena's name was changed in 2004 to the Three Rivers Coliseum to match the Three Rivers Convention Center, which was built next door in the same year. In October 2005, a deal was reached between the city of Kennewick and Toyota, which agreed to pay $2 million over ten years for naming rights. The city uses the funds for needed improvements and upgrades to the facility. A smaller facility next door, built by the city in 1998, was named "Toyota Arena."
