2006–07 Cypriot Third Division
The 2006–07 Cypriot Third Division was the 36th season of the Cypriot third-level football league. Ermis Aradippou won their 3rd title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2006–07 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to the 2007–08 Cypriot Second Division and the last three teams were relegated to the 2007–08 Cypriot Fourth Division. Point system Teams received three points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. Cypriot Third Division
The Cypriot Third Division (Greek: Πρωτάθλημα Γ΄ Κατηγορίας) is the third tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. History The Cypriot Third Division was held for the first time in the 1970–71 season as the third level of the Cypriot football. All the teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. This is the league's current format until present time. The only season when the championship not held was during the 1974–75 season. Elpida Xylofagou
Elpida Xylofagou is a Cypriot football club based in the village of Xylofagou in Larnaca district. The club, which was established in 1959, currently competes in the Cypriot Second Division, after a successful campaign in the Cypriot Third Division, from which it gains the promotion. Their colors are white and blue. In recent years, the team has also regularly participated in the Cypriot Cup. Stadium The team uses the Michalonikion Stadion, as a home stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 2,000 fans. 2006–07 Cypriot First Division
The 2006–07 Cypriot First Division was the 68th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. APOEL won their 19th title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 2006–07 Cypriot First Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The last three teams were relegated to the 2007–08 Cypriot Second Division. The champions ensured their participation in the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League and the runners-up in the 2007–08 UEFA Cup. The teams had to declare their interest to participate in the 2007 UEFA Intertoto Cup before the end of the championship. At the end of the championship, the higher placed team among the interested ones participated in the Intertoto Cup (if they had not secured their participation in any other UEFA competition). ENAD Polis Chrysochous FC ( el, ΕΝΑΔ Πόλης Χρυσοχούς) is a football club based in Polis, Paphos, Cyprus that competes in the Cypriot Second Division. The team was established in 1994 after two local teams, Akamas Polis Chrysochous and Demetrakis Argakas, were united. Early years After the unification of the two local clubs, the whole Chrysochous area was united to provide a single Professional Football Team (EN for Enosis or in English United, A for Akamas and D for Demetrakis ).
