Kanal 11 (formerly TV11 and before that TV400) is a conditional access Conditional access (CA) is a term commonly used in relation to software and to digital television systems. MTV Aitio is a Scandinavian premium television channel owned by MTV Oy showing movies and TV shows. It is the flagship movie channel of the MTV Katsomo+ package. History The channel started out as ''Canal+ Film 1'' on 1 May 2004 and replaced the channel Canal+ Gul. From September 2005 the channel was known as ''Canal+ Film'', but the numeral was added again in November 2006. DiTV
DiTV is a Swedish television channel owned by the financial newspaper Dagens Industri. It was launched on November 7, 2005, initially broadcasting between 6 p.m. and midnight as well as a morning show. The schedule contained financial news, current affairs programmes, documentaries and lifestyle shows. DiTV was initially available on cable, satellite and broadband television. They did however aim to be a part of the digital terrestrial network. DiTV had applied for a license to broadcast terrestrially before the start of the channel. On November 1, 2005 the Swedish Radio and TV Authority announced that DiTV was among the ten channels that should be prioritized as new channels in the network. On February 23, 2006, the Ministry of Culture did however announce that DiTV would not be granted a license for the terrestrial network. ONE Television
ONE Television ''(On Europe Television)'' was a Swedish television channel which broadcast television shows such as The Bill, Murder Investigation Team and Later with Jools Holland. It was created in autumn 2005 when new television channels were licensed. Kanal 5 (SBS Broadcasting) created "Ny Kanal 1" (no relation to the former Kanal 1) with the aim of creating a free-to-air channel. ONE Television timeshifted with The Voice TV and started broadcasting on 24 May 2006, as the government demanded that the launch of the new channels was during spring that year. Its target was a predominantly male, "mature and active" audience pertaining to the 40-49 demographic. Moreover, the channel almost clashed with the launch of TV6, a free-to-air channel replacing ZTV, who had a more successful slate of programming, including sports, something SBS didn't have for ONE. MTV Sweden was a music and entertainment channel broadcasting to the Swedish market. The channel replaced MTV Nordic on September 18, 2005, however on February 22, 2019 it was replaced by the return of MTV Nordic. TV4 Fakta
TV4 Fakta is a Swedish documentary television channel owned by the TV4 Group. It started broadcasting in 2005. Much of the programming is taken from A+E Networks. Since December 2005, the remainder of the schedule has been filled with the English language version of Euronews. The TV4 Group bought a stake in Euronews in June 2006. TV4 Fakta was the first channel owned by the TV4 Group that was not broadcast from Sweden. It is broadcast from Finland, where the advertising laws are more liberal. In November 2006, a Finnish version of the channel, called MTV3 Fakta, was launched in cooperation with MTV3. The channels have been broadcasting from Sweden since 2009. C More First HD is a high-definition television channel owned by C More Entertainment showing movies and television series in the Nordic countries. The channel was launched as ''C More HD'' on 1 September 2005. It was then the first HDTV channel targeting the Nordic countries broadcasting with MPEG-2 compression from the Thor 2 satellite and MPEG-4 with cable on the Canal Digital platform. The content consisted of three movies every evening. On 1 November 2006, it was rebranded as ''Canal+ HD'' and is now broadcasting H.264. The Swedish cable distributor Com Hem launched HDTV on December 12th, 2006, and then included Canal+ HD in its offerings. In early February 2007, C More launched another HD channel. Viasat Sport 24 was showing several sports events in different squares on one television channel 24 hours a day complete with sports results, news and betting information. TV4 Sport was a Swedish sports television channel owned by television company TV4 AB, with the tabloid newspaper ''Expressen'' owning a minor share. In April 2014, a sports channel similar to TV4 Sport is launched as TV12 by the same company, replacing :sv:TV4 Sport Xtra. This channel was previously called TV4 Sport Xtra, with the name changed to TV4 Sport as TV12 was launched). History The channel was originally owned by Expressen who launched the channel on 17 March 2005.
