2003–04 Burnley F.C. Season
The 2003–04 season was Burnley's fourth season in the second tier of English football. They were managed by Stan Ternent in his sixth full season since he replaced Chris Waddle at the beginning 1998–99 campaign. Season summary Burnley struggled all season, and finished the season in 19th, two points above the relegation zone. As with the previous season, Burnley's defense was their downfall - the team conceded 77 goals, bettered in the First Division only by bottom club Wimbledon and in the entire Football League by Second Division side Notts County. Burnley F
Burnley () is a town and the administrative centre of the wider Borough of Burnley in Lancashire, England, with a 2021 United Kingdom census, 2021 population of 78,266. It is north of Manchester and east of Preston, Lancashire, Preston, at the confluence of the River Calder, Lancashire, River Calder and River Brun. The town is located near the countryside to the south and east, with the towns of Padiham and Brierfield, Lancashire, Brierfield to the west and north respectively. Brian Jensen (footballer Born 1975)
Brian Paldan Jensen (; born 8 June 1975) is a Danish retired professional footballer and current first team goalkeeping coach at Shrewsbury Town. He played more than 300 English league games as a goalkeeper for Burnley and West Bromwich Albion. Jensen started his career with Danish lower-league club B.93, before joining Dutch Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar in 1997. He made his senior breakthrough with West Bromwich Albion, playing a total of 50 games for the club. He joined Burnley in 2003 and played more than 300 games in all competitions, helping the club win promotion to the top-flight Premier League in 2009. Dean West
Dean West (born 5 December 1972) is an English former professional footballer. He is now a coach for Lincoln City youth team and centre of excellence. He is best known as a right sided full-back, but can also play in midfield if needed. Throughout his career, West has been known as a committed and dedicated full back who loves to overlap with the winger in front of him and get forward at every opportunity. Mark McGregor
Mark Dale Thomas McGregor (born 16 February 1977) is an English former footballer who played as a defender who is the assistant manager of Runcorn Town. He played 498 games in a 13-year career in the Football League, mostly in the third tier. He started his career at Wrexham in 1995 and made 288 league and cup appearances in his six years for the Welsh club before he signed with Burnley. In July 2004, he moved from Burnley to Blackpool. In January 2006 he transferred to Port Vale, before joining Conference side Altrincham in August 2008. He stayed in Altrincham for one season before becoming player-manager at Gap Connah's Quay. Tony Grant (English Footballer)
Anthony James Grant (born 14 November 1974) is an English football coach and former player, he is the assistant head coach of EFL League One club Forest Green Rovers. A midfielder, he began his career with Premier League club Everton in 1993 and went on to play for Swindon Town, Tranmere Rovers, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion, Burnley, Crewe Alexandra, Accrington Stanley and Chester City. He was capped once by England U21. After retiring from playing in 2008, Grant has coached at a variety of clubs and as of 2023 is assistant manager at League One side Forest Green Rovers. Alan Moore (footballer)
Alan Moore (born 25 November 1974) is an Irish retired footballer. Club career Moore moved to Derry City after a short spell without a club, as he had left Shelbourne in January 2007 when his contract was up. His previous clubs included Burnley, Barnsley and Middlesbrough. During his time at Middlesbrough, he was once described as "the Ryan Giggs of the north-east". Moore returned home to Ireland during the summer of 2004 and signed for Shelbourne where he had an immediate impact on the team. Ian Ronald Thomas-Moore (born Ian Ronald Moore; 26 August 1976) is an English former professional footballer who played as a centre-forward or winger. Gareth Keith Taylor (born 25 February 1973) is a football manager and former player who most recently served as the head coach of Manchester City Women. He began his career as a defender at Bristol Rovers, having left the Southampton youth team in 1991. Glen Matthew Little (born 15 October 1975) is an English former footballer who played as a winger. Born in Wimbledon, London, he began his career in Northern Ireland with Derry City and Glentoran, before returning to England to play for Burnley, Reading, Bolton Wanderers, Portsmouth, Sheffield United and Aldershot Town. Graham Branch
Graham Branch (born 12 February 1972) is a former professional footballer. Playing career Branch was born in Liverpool, England. A childhood Liverpool fan, he started his footballing career across the River Mersey with Heswall and then Tranmere Rovers. Having made 109 appearances for them, with loan deals at Bury and Wigan Athletic along the way, he was released on a free transfer to Stockport County for the beginning of the 1998–99 season, and quickly arrived at Burnley in January 1999, signed by the colourful manager Stan Ternent, following a falling-out with then Stockport manager, Gary Megson. David May (born 24 June 1970) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. As a player, May was a centre-back and right-back from 1988 to 2006. He played in the Premier League for Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United, collecting numerous trophies in a nine-year spell at Old Trafford that included two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the UEFA Champions League.
