2003 Serbian Local Elections
A small number of Serbian municipalities held local elections in 2003. These were not part of the country's regular cycle of local elections but took place in certain jurisdictions where the local government had fallen. Serbia had introduced the direct election of mayors via two-round voting in 2002. Local assembly elections, which had been held under first past the post voting in single-member constituencies in the last regular cycle in 2000 Serbian local elections, 2000, were now determined by proportional representation with a three per cent electoral threshold. Successful lists were required to receive three per cent of all votes, not only of valid votes. Mayor
In many countries, a mayor is the highest-ranking official in a municipal government such as that of a city or a town. Worldwide, there is a wide variance in local laws and customs regarding the powers and responsibilities of a mayor as well as the means by which a mayor is elected or otherwise mandated. Depending on the system chosen, a mayor may be the chief executive officer of the municipal government, may simply chair a multi-member governing body with little or no independent power, or may play a solely ceremonial role. Slobodan Mihajlović
Slobodan Mihajlović (born 15 March 1997) is an Austrian football player who plays as left midfielder for Swiss club Brühl. Career Mihajlović started his career at FC Wolfurt. From the 2011/12 season, he played for AKA Vorarlberg. During the winter break of the 2014/15 season, he moved to Austrian Football Second League club SV Horn. However, he never played an official game for the club and for that reason, he moved to FC Hard on loan during the winter break of the 2015/16 season. In March 2016 he made his debut in the Austrian Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against USK Anif on matchday 17 and was replaced by Michael Vonbrül at half-time. People's Party (Serbia, 1990)
The People's Party ( sr, Народна странка / ''Narodna stranka'') was a political party in Serbia. Its president was Milan Paroški. History In the 1990 election it ran in coalition with the Serbian Renewal Movement and won one seat in one of the districts of Novi Sad. The elected MP was Milan Paroški. On 18 December 1995 it was announced that the People's Party was merging with the Democratic Party, taking a right-wing turn under Zoran Đinđić. This proved highly controversial, and Đinđić defended the decision saying that Paroški was remembered not for his monarchism but for his strong opposition credentials. On 18 August 1997 the party split with the political council of the Democratic Party, insisting against the electoral boycott of the 1997 election. Predrag Stojanović ( sr-Cyrl, Предраг Стојановић; born 3 April 1958) is a Serbian academic and former politician. He served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2001 to 2004 as a member of the Christian Democratic Party of Serbia (''Demohrišćanska Stranka Srbije'', DHSS) and has held high political office in Kraljevo. In 2007, Stojanović was charged in relation to the "Indeks" scandal, in which a number of University of Kragujevac law professors were accused of taking part in a grades-for-payment scheme. Miljko Četrović ( sr-Cyrl, Миљко Четровић; born 4 November 1949) is a Serbian former politician. He served in the National Assembly of Serbia from 2004 to 2007 as a member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party (''Srpska radikalna stranka'', SRS). Slobodan Mihajlović ( sr-Cyrl, Слободан Михајловић; born 26 March 1957) is a Serbian politician. Zvonko Obradović ( sr-Cyrl, Звонко Обрадовић; born 17 November 1966) is a Serbian politician and administrator.
