2003 NASCAR Goody's Dash Series
The 2003 NASCAR Goody's Dash Series was the 29th and final season of the NASCAR NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, Goody's Dash Series. It began at Daytona International Speedway on February 9 and concluded at Atlanta Motor Speedway on October 28. Jake Hobgood entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion. Robert Huffman won his fifth and final championship, 129 points in front of Justin Hobgood. This was the final season before NASCAR sold the series to IPOWER (International Participants Of Winning Edge Racing) for the following year. NASCAR Goody's Dash Series
The ISCARS Dash Touring Series (previously known as the NASCAR Baby Grand National, Goody's Dash Series and IPOWER Dash Series among others) was a stock car racing series created by NASCAR in 1973 in sports, 1973, initially running solely at North Wilkesboro Speedway, that involved V6 powered stock cars raced over relatively short distances. In 1975 in sports, 1975 the series branched out to other tracks besides North Wilkesboro Speedway. After the end of the 2003 season, NASCAR transferred the Goody's Dash series to IPOWER (International Participants Of Winning Edge Racing). In 2004, they ran the IPOWER Dash Series. In January 2005 in sports, 2005, officials announced the cancellation of the 2005 Dash season due to problems with sponsorship. Randy Humphrey (born March 28, 1960) is an American former professional stock car racing driver and team owner who competed in the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series from 1998 to 2003. He is the former team owner of Randy Humphrey Racing, which competed in the NASCAR Cup Series for one season in 2014, and a former co-owner of Phil Parsons Racing and TriStar Motorsports. Danny Bagwell (born October 12, 1960) is an American former professional stock car racing driver who has competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series. Bagwell is best known for suffering a violent crash during the Goody's Dash race at Daytona International Speedway in 1999, where he hit the outside wall at the fourth corner and entered into a series of barrel rolls, leaving only the roll cage intact; he would escape the crash without serious injuries. Johnny Chapman
Johnny Chapman (born December 14, 1967) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. Racing career Chapman has won 40 races in NASCAR's Late Model Stock Division as well as being a two-time Goody's Dash Series Champion on his way up the rankings in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1997, after running a few one-off races he signed a contract to run the No. 89 Sherwin-Williams Ford in the NASCAR Busch Series. He had three top fifteen finishes that year, including his best major NASCAR finish of 11th in the Winston Motorsports 300 on June 13. In a motorsports race, the pole position is usually the best and "statistically the most advantageous" starting position on the track. The pole position is usually earned by the driver with the best qualifying times in the trials before the race, although penalties may award it to the second fastest driver, as the pole position is statistically awarded to the driver starting in first position.
