Jeffrey Van Hooydonk
Jeffrey van Hooydonk (born 1 October 1977) is a Belgian racing car driver. A native of Antwerp, Van Hooydonk began racing karts in 1990 and graduated to open-wheel racing five years later. For the next three seasons, he was successful in Formula Renault, winning the European Formula Super Renault championship in 1997. He progressed to German Formula Three the following year, finishing sixth in the championship, and then moving up to Formula 3000 in 1999. Despite scoring one pole position, the next two years were largely unsuccessful, and he switched to the Belcar series in 2001 with a Porsche 996. After returning the German F3 in 2002, and finishing fifth overall, van Hooydonk was again promoted to F3000 and remained there for the 2003 and 2004 seasons, with moderate success. Will Langhorne
William Langhorne (born July 29, 1974, in Washington, D.C.), is a race car driver sponsored by Porsche. He is also a former driver in the Indy Racing League. After coming up through karting and the Skip Barber Racing Schools, he drove in the Barber Dodge Pro Series from 1997 to 1999 and Toyota Atlantic in 1999 and 2000. He reached his goal of top-level open-wheel racing when he competed in the 2002 IRL season with 3 starts for Treadway Racing. His best career IRL finish was in 13th position in the Delphi Indy 300 at the Chicagoland Speedway. In 2003, he raced in Formula 3000 for BCN Competicion. In 2004 and 2005 he raced in the ARCA ReMax Series. In 2006 he raced for Molitor Racing in the Porsche Michelin Supercup Series that tours with Formula One. Tony Schmidt (born 9 May 1980 in Leipzig) is a German racing driver. Career Formula Three Schmidt competed in German Formula Three from 1999 to 2001, establishing himself as a midfield runner. He also scored three podium finishes during these seasons, and competed in the Masters of Formula Three race twice. Phil Giebler
Philip Giebler (born March 5, 1979 in Oxnard, California) is an American race car driver. Giebler was considered a top American prospect with an opportunity to race in Formula One early in his career. Following years in various Formula Three ranks, Giebler ran in Formula 3000 in 2003 half the season putting up a number of good results. He returned stateside in 2004 running in the Infiniti Pro Series and Toyota Atlantic, capturing a win in his IPS debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway, before being named as one of A1 Grand Prix A1 Team USA's drivers. He competed in the 2005-2006 season, and the early part of the 2006-2007 season before being replaced by Jonathan Summerton. Derek John Hill (born March 28, 1975 in Santa Monica, California) is an American racing driver. He is the son of Formula One World Champion Phil Hill. Career Early career Hill initially raced karts in California and Ferrari sports cars (his father won his F1 title with the team). Winning three of three races in the championship runoffs in Italy at the Mugello circuit in the Ferrari 355, Hill attracted the attention of the Alfa Romeo Factory DTM team and was invited to test the DTM car at Mugello in November 1995. Yannick Schroeder
Yannick Schroeder (born 10 August 1979 in Metz) is a French racing car driver. Schroeder competed in French Formula Three in 1999 and 2000, finishing tenth and ninth in the championships in these respective years. For 2001, he graduated to European F3000 and stayed there for 2002, placing sixth in the championship with two podium finishes. For 2003, Schroeder graduated to International Formula 3000 with the ISR Racing team, having driven for Charouz Racing in Euro F3000. In his maiden year, he scored 13 points and placed 12th in the championship. By the time the 2004 season started, he had moved to Durango. The loss of a sponsor during the season forced him to quit the championship. However, he had the consolation of coming 9th in the championship and taking a podium finish at the Nürburgring round of the series. BCN Competicion
Ocean Racing Technology (ORT) was a racing team that took part in both the GP2 Main Series and the GP2 Asia Series Championships. The team, owned by Tiago Monteiro and José Guedes, was formed at the end of the 2008 season after being purchased from BCN, a team which never enjoyed much success in GP2 (two podiums in four years). The driver and the entrepreneur created a structure based on recognized professionals and quickly started to secure first-class results, making it possible for the Portuguese Racing team to fight with the more advanced teams in the FIA accredited championship that is the main feeder series for Formula One. Alessandro Piccolo (born October 17, 1980) is an Italian racing driver. Career Formula Renault Piccolo finished fourth in the 2003 Formula Renault 2000 Italy championship, with 131 points. Euro F3000 Piccolo competed in the Euro Formula 3000 championship in both 2001 and 2002, establishing himself as a frontrunner with one win, two pole positions and five podium finishes from 17 race starts. Formula 3000 Piccolo moved to the International Formula 3000 series for 2003, where he was initially recruited by new team BCN Competicion to replace compatriot Valerio Scassellati after the first race. Zsolt Baumgartner
Zsolt Baumgartner (born 1 January 1981) is a Hungarian former racing driver who raced for the Jordan and Minardi teams in Formula One. He remains the only Hungarian driver to have competed and to have scored a point in Formula One. Career Baumgartner made his Formula One race debut at the 2003 Hungarian Grand Prix, substituting for the injured Ralph Firman in the Jordan team; he also took part in the Italian Grand Prix that year. Plans were made for Baumgartner to drive for Jordan again in 2004 with sponsorship from oil company MOL Rt. However, he failed to agree terms with Jordan and was signed by Minardi instead. ISR Racing (also known as Coca-Cola Racing Team in FIA GT) is a racing team from Czech Republic, created in 1993 by Igor Salaquarda. The team is currently competing in ADAC GT Masters. History The company was created to develop the Peugeot 306 Cup of Peugeot Cup racing. Later, in 1996, ISR started racing in Super Touring with Audi 80 quattro and Czech driver Josef Venc.
