2003 All-SEC Football Team
The 2003 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2003 NCAA Division I-A football season. The LSU Tigers won the conference, beating the Georgia Bulldogs 34 to 13 in the SEC Championship game. The Tigers then won a national championship, defeating the Big 12 champion Oklahoma Sooners 21 to 14 in the BCS National Championship Game. Ole Miss quarterback Eli Manning was voted SEC Offensive Player of the Year by both AP and Coaches. LSU defensive tackle Chad Lavalais was voted the coaches SEC Defensive Player of the Year; Florida cornerback Keiwan Ratliff was the AP's choice. Chad Douglas Lavalais (born April 15, 1979) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for two seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the LSU Tigers, earned consensus All-American honors, and was a member of a BCS National Championship team. Thereafter, he played professionally for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Early life Lavalais was born in Marksville, Louisiana. He lettered in football and track at Marksville High School. Devery Vaughn Henderson Jr. (born March 26, 1982) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for nine seasons with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). Michael Rashard Clayton (born October 13, 1982) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the LSU Tigers and was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 15th overall in the 2004 NFL draft. He is the head strength and conditioning coach for Mississippi State University, a position he has held since 2024. Originally from Andrews, Texas, Williams played college football and baseball at Texas Tech and Alabama. Carnell Lamar "Cadillac" Williams (born April 21, 1982) is an American professional football coach and former running back who most recently served as the running backs coach for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).
