2002 Toronto Rock Season
The Toronto Rock are a indoor lacrosse, lacrosse team based in Toronto playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The 2002 NLL season, 2002 season was the 5th in franchise history and 4th as the Rock. The Rock continued its dynasty on top of the NLL standings, finishing first in its division for the fourth straight year. The Rock beat the Washington Power in the semifinals, to advance to the championship game against the Albany Attack. Their victory in this game gave the Rock three out of the last four championships. National Lacrosse League
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league comprises 14 teams8 in the United States and 6 in Canada. The NLL is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Basketball Association (NBA). Unlike other box lacrosse leagues, which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Albany Attack
The Albany Attack was the name of a franchise which played in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) from the 2000 NLL season, 2000 season through the 2003 NLL season, 2003 season. The Attack played in the former Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York (now known as the Times Union Center). After the 2003 season, the franchise was sold and moved to San Jose, California and renamed the San Jose Stealth. The current incarnation of the franchise, now owned by Canucks Sports & Entertainment, is the Vancouver Warriors. Glenn Clark
Glenn Clark (born December 1, 1969, in Pickering, Ontario) is the head coach of the Albany FireWolves (previously the New England Black Wolves) and the former head coach of the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. He was also a former NLL player. Clark played in the NLL from 1998- 2006 for both the Rock and the Philadelphia Wings. With the Rock, Clark won five NLL Championships. He also appeared in three National Lacrosse League All-Star Games, two with the Rock, and one with the Wings. In 2003, Clark played for Team Canada as they won the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. In 2011, he became goaltending coach for Team Canada. Darryl Gibson (born July 28, 1976 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian lacrosse coach and former professional player.
