2000–01 Divizia D
The 2000–01 Divizia D was the 59th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a play-off match played on a neutral venue. The winners of the play-off matches promoted to Divizia C. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system and is run in all 41 counties and in the Municipality of Bucharest. It was known as the Regional Championship, County Championship, Divizia C – County Phase and Divizia D. Its name was changed into Liga IV before the start of the 2006–07 season. History Football in Romania has its origins in 1909, when the country's first football competition was founded. In the beginning, matches were played in a cup-style system, with participating teams primarily coming from the Muntenia region, especially from Bucharest and Ploiești. In the 1920–21 season, in addition to the Harwester Cup, the Jean Luca P. Niculescu Cup, and the Maior Zorileanu Cup in Bucharest, district championships were also held in Timișoara/Arad, Cluj, Oradea, Târgu Mureș, and Cernăuți. Liga IV Bucharest is the municipal football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Bucharest, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. CSM Oltenița
Club Sportiv Municipal Oltenița, commonly known as CSM Oltenița, or simply Oltenița (), is a professional Romanian Association football, football club based in Oltenița, Călărași County. The team was founded as ''Șantierul Naval Oltenița'' in 1948 and played between 1965 and 1992 in the Liga II and Liga III. After 1992 the team had only sporadic appearances in the third league, before being declared bankrupt at the end of the 2004–05 season. For 7 years football has disappeared from the city, and the stadium has also become a ruin. In 2011 the renovations of the stadium started and after one year the club was re-founded, this time as CSM Oltenița. Liga IV Călărași is the county association football, football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Călărași County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 18 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series.
