Ángel Maza
Ángel Eduardo Maza (born 18 December 1954) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician. He was the governor of La Rioja Province during several terms, until he was ousted by impeachment in 2007. His sister, Ada Maza, is a national senator. Maza was educated at the National University of Córdoba and graduated as a geologist, later earning a doctorate. He worked in the geological and mining services of the Government of Argentina and of La Rioja Province. Political career From 1985, Maza served as a minister in the provincial government of La Rioja under then governor Carlos Menem, continuing until 1992, when Menem, by now President of Argentina, appointed Maza as minister for mining, a position which he held until 1995. That year he was elected governor of his province, taking office on 9 December. He was re-elected in 1999 and 2003. Rubén Marín
Rubén Hugo Marín (1 May 1934 – 27 January 2024) was an Argentine politician who was a Senator for La Pampa Province. He was also a governor of the province on two occasions. Marín, a lawyer by profession, was a member of the Justicialist Party. Born in Trenel, Marín enrolled at the National University of La Plata, and graduated with a ''juris doctor'' in 1961. He was Peronist gubernatorial candidate Aquiles Regazzoli's running mate in 1973, and served as Vice Governor of La Pampa from 1973 to 1976. Marín was elected governor in 1983 upon the restoration of democracy, serving until 1987. He was then elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, and two years later, to the Senate. Voters returned Marín to the governor's post in 1991, and he was re-elected in 1995 and 1999. Eduardo Fellner
Eduardo Alfredo Fellner (born 16 June 1954) is an Argentine Peronist politician. He was President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and governor of Jujuy Province for two terms. Life and times Fellner was born in Río Tercero, Córdoba, and was raised in Villa Palpalá, Jujuy Province, where his father had found work in the Zapla steel mill, the country's oldest and largest. The young Fellner later relocated to Tucumán, where he earned a ''juris doctor'' at the Saint Thomas Aquinas University of the North. He returned to Jujuy in 1983, and was appointed Solicitor General of the province, later becoming District Attorney. The Secretary of Industry, Juan Schiaretti, named Fellner his Minister of Government during President Carlos Menem's 1993 Federal intervention decree over the governor's post in Santiago del Estero Province. Gildo Insfrán
Gildo Insfrán (born 19 January 1951) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, who has been Governor of Formosa Province since 1995. Having been close to former President Carlos Menem, Insfrán later became close to President Néstor Kirchner, who defeated Menem in 2003 and was the leader of the Justicialist Party. In 1999 he arranged to have Formosa's provincial constitution revised to allow him to be reelected indefinitely. Insfrán has been the target of numerous corruption allegations by journalists, activists and politicians like Jorge Lanata. He has also been criticized for the length of his tenure as governor of Formosa. His tenures as governor have been regarded favorably by inhabitants of Formosa. Sergio Alberto Montiel (October 20, 1927 – November 1, 2011) was an Argentine politician, lawyer, and professor of constitutional law at the National University of the Littoral. Montiel served as Governor of Entre Ríos Province for two nonconsecutive terms: He was first elected on October 30, 1983, and served his first term until 1987.
