2000 FIBA Euroleague Final Four
The 2000 FIBA EuroLeague Final Four was the Euroleague Final Four, FIBA EuroLeague Final Four tournament of the 1999–2000 FIBA EuroLeague, 1999–2000 season. It was the second to last edition of the FIBA EuroLeague Final Fours that were organized by FIBA Europe. For the next edition of the tournament, it would be replaced by the FIBA SuproLeague's 2001 FIBA SuproLeague Final Four, and the new 2000–01 Euroleague, Euroleague Basketball competition's 2001 Euroleague Finals, 2001 Finals series, which was organized by the Euroleague Basketball Company. 1999–2000 FIBA EuroLeague
The 1999–2000 FIBA EuroLeague was the 43rd installment of the European professional club basketball system, European top-tier level professional sports club, club competition for basketball clubs (now called simply EuroLeague). It began on September 23, 1999, and ended on April 20, 2000. The 2000 EuroLeague Final Four, competition's Final Four was held at P.A.O.K. Sports Arena, PAOK Sports Arena, Thessaloniki, with Panathinaikos B.C., Panathinaikos defeating Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C., Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague Final, in front of 8,500 spectators. Nate Huffman
Nathaniel Thomas Huffman (April 2, 1975 – October 15, 2015) was an American professional basketball player, who played most of his career with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He was the 2001 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP, as well as the 2001 FIBA SuproLeague Player of the Year. High school and college career Huffman played for Lakeview High School and then for Lansing Community College (where in '94–'95 he averaged 29.8 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game while shooting 66.8% from the field, and was named to the JUCO All America team). He then played for Central Michigan University from 1995 until 1997 (where in '96–'97 he averaged 17.2 points, 11 rebounds (leading the Mid-America Conference in rebounding), and 1.8 blocks per game, and was named to the MAC Conference 1st team). Dallas Comegys
Dallas Alonzo Comegys (born August 17, 1964) is an American former professional basketball player. College career Comegys played collegiate basketball for the DePaul Blue Demons in the NCAA Division I from 1983 to 1987. Professional career Comegys was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 21st overall pick of the 1987 NBA draft. He was traded to the New Jersey Nets in exchange for a second-round draft choice in either 1989 or 1990. He played 75 games (17 starts) for the Nets in 1987–88, averaging 5.6 ppg, adding totals of 218 rebounds and 70 blocks. Comegys was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Walter Berry in August 1988. Ignacio "Nacho" Rodríguez Marín (born 2 September 1970) is a former Spain, Spanish professional basketball player. Francisco Elson
Francisco Marinho Robby Elson (born 28 February 1976) is a Dutch former professional basketball player. Elson was the seventh Dutch player to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Elson served as the captain of the Netherlands national basketball team in international basketball, as he led the team in several EuroBasket qualifying rounds. He was the first Dutch player to become an NBA champion, doing so with the San Antonio Spurs in 2007. Youth and college career Elson started his career at AMVJ Rotterdam at the age of twelve. Efthimios Rentzias
Efthimios "Efthimis" Rentzias (alternate spellings: Efthymios, Efthymis; Greek: Ευθύμιος "Ευθύμης" Ρεντζιάς; born January 11, 1976) is a retired Greek professional basketball player. During his pro club career, he was most notably a member of the Spanish League's FC Barcelona, and the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. At a height of 2.12 m (6'11 ") tall, he played at the center position. Damir Mulaomerović (born 19 September 1974) is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player who is the current coach of KK Dinamo Zagreb. Professional career Mulaomerović started his career with Sloboda Dita in 1990. Not too long after the start of the Bosnian War, he fled to Zagreb and where he joined Cibona Zagreb. Oded Kattash (; born October 10, 1974) is an Israeli professional basketball coach for Maccabi Tel Aviv and former player. Hüseyin Beşok (born 8 February 1975) is a retired Turkish professional basketball player. Standing at 2.11 m (6 ft 11 in) in height and 120 kg (265 lbs) in weight, he used to play as center. Dejan Bodiroga ( sr-Cyrl, Дејан Бодирога; born 2 March 1973) is a Serbian basketball executive and former professional player, who is currently the president of EuroLeague Basketball.
