CJ Carella's WitchCraft
''CJ Carella's WitchCraft'', or more informally ''WitchCraft'' (), is a modern horror role-playing game published by Eden Studios, Inc. It is based on the ''Unisystem'' game system and had been previously published by Myrmidon Press. In both cases it was designed and written by C. J. Carella. ''WitchCraft'' was the first RPG to use the ''Unisystem'' game system. Setting Player characters can take on the role of various types of magic-using humans known as the "Gifted". Other characters can be "Lesser Gifted" (less magically capable, but have more mundane skills), the "Mundane" (non-magical humans) or even various supernatural races such as Vampires, Spirits, or Bast (intelligent shape-shifting cats). ''Empire Builder'' is a railroad board game originally published by Mayfair Games in 1982 that underwent several editions and eventually branched out into international and fantastical locations. In February 2018 Mayfair Games was acquired by French game publisher/distributor Asmodee, however rights to the Empire Builder games (and other Mayfair titles) are no longer retained by Asmodee. Publication history ''Empire Builder'' was designed by Bill Fawcett and Darwin Bromley and released in 1982 by Mayfair Games. The original game was set in the United States and Canada. This was replaced with a new version that added Mexico. IceTowers
Icehouse pieces, or Icehouse Pyramids, Treehouse pieces, Treehouse Pyramids and officially Looney Pyramids, are nestable and stackable pyramid-shaped gaming pieces and a game system. The game system was invented by Andrew Looney and John Cooper in 1987, originally for use in the game of Icehouse. History Andrew Looney in 1987 penned a sci-fi short story, "The Empty City", that included a game called Icehouse, an ancient Martian game. Readers requested to learn how to play the game. Thus actual rules were invented for Icehouse by Andrew Looney, Kristin Wunderlich (then future wife of Looney) and John Cooper, then plastic pyramid pieces were made to play the game. The first commercially available set were solid non-stackable pyramids released in 1989 with only 100 sets made. The pieces were made from resin in his apartment, which upset the landlord. ''Furry Pirates'' is an anthropomorphic, historical fantasy, pen-and-paper role-playing game published by Atlas Games. It is set in a parallel universe, reminiscent of 17th-century Earth. The game was written by Lise Breakey, designed by Bruce Thomas, and illustrated by Terrie Smith and Eric Hotz. The game, as the name implies, focuses on furry pirates and their adventures. ''Deadwood'' is a board game for 3–8 players produced by Cheapass Games. In it, players assume the roles of bit actors working for a B-Movie Studio who try to make as much money as possible. This is done by taking on roles such as "man on fire," "woman in black dress," and "falls off roof." Players are represented by dice, which denote what "level" actor each player is. The original version of the game was available through various game outlets. The rules, boards, and cards for a revised edition (''Deadwood 2.0'') are now available for free download from the company's website, and are being developed into a deluxe edition via Kickstarter. Gameplay All players begin each "day" of gameplay at the Trailers located at one corner of the board. In the original game, each player's die begins on 2, denoting they are a "Rank 2 actor".
