She is selected to be the forty-fourth German Eurovision entry during Countdown Grand Prix held at the Stadthalle in Bremen. *16 March - Corinna May was disqualified from the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, 1999 Eurovision Song Contest when it was discovered that the winning song "Hor den Kindern einfach zu" was released in 1997 by another act, since entering a cover song was contrary to the rules. Sürpriz, who were the runners-up performing "Reise nach Jerusalem – Kudüs'e seyahat" were therefore promoted and announced as the forty-fourth German Eurovision entry. Teletubbies
''Teletubbies'' is a British children's television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC. The programme focuses on four differently coloured characters known as the Teletubbies, named after the television screens on their bellies. Recognised throughout popular culture for the uniquely shaped antenna protruding from the head of each character, the Teletubbies communicate through gibberish and were designed to bear resemblance to toddlers. The series rapidly became a commercial success in Britain and abroad. It won multiple BAFTA awards and was nominated for two Daytime Emmys throughout its run. A single based on the show's theme song reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart in December 1997 and remained in the Top 75 for 32 weeks, selling over a million copies. ''Misery Guts'' is an Australian children's television series on the Nine Network that first screened in 1998. The series is based on the book by Morris Gleitzman. Synopsis Vin and Marge Shipley live above a fish and chip shop in South London, with their only son Keith. Things are tough in South London and Keith wants to make his misery guts parents smile again, so he buys a brilliantly coloured tropical fish from Australia. All his efforts to cheer his parents fail, so Keith decides he must find a way to get his parents to Australia, where the sun shines all the time. At some point, Keith accidentally burns down his parents' shop. The Shipleys decide to migrate to Australia with the insurance money. They arrive at Orchid Cove, a small fictional town in Australia. ''Dream Street'' is a British children's television series that ran from 6 May 1999 to 2002 on CITV, and from 7 October 2002 to 28 February 2003 on Nick Jr UK. The show is narrated by British comedian Russ Abbot, and was aimed at children aged from 2 to 7. The show features talking toy vehicles, which were radio controlled in real time. CITV, the original broadcaster, repeated the series from 2008 to 2009. The show returned to television in 2017, with updated effects and CGI elements. There have been VHS and DVD releases of the series by Carlton Video. ''Bob the Builder'' is a British animated children's television series created by Keith Chapman for HIT Entertainment which ran from to in the United Kingdom through the CBBC strand and later CBeebies. The series centres on the adventures and escapades of a general contractor named Bob who owns a team of anthropomorphised construction vehicles that go about their day helping out with construction work in several towns. The show used stop-motion animation for most of the series as well as ''Project: Build It'', provided by Hot Animation in Manchester.
